Was I wrong in seeing that about 1/3 of the R rebuttals in the aftermath of the day started with, “The Obama administration...” guys that is over.

Yes this is a completely new phenomenon that no other party has done before.

We’ve only been alive for one other impeachment hearing. Was it a typical tactic for Dems to say “The Bush administration...” during that time?

Parties always deflect to or blame the other party’s administration. It’s a pretty standard operating procedure.

No, it wasn't. The GOP is following the nobody playbook.

I should be paid for this since every politician uses my playbook.

I'm not entirely sure there's a viable analogue to the Clinton proceedings. While I find the tactic tedious regardless of who is employing it, there are at least some callbacks that have a sliver of relevance. It's not like Democrats could've hit Ken Starr with, "Mr Starr, is it not also true that President Bush used his presidential authority to secret away his college-age BJ queen?"

I wonder how many terrorists went free and allies were killed because of that slob-job.

I don't really think Buttigieg will have a prayer of winning, but it's amazing to me that Mayor Pete has gotten this far.

This is a pretty interesting article on the uphill battle Pete faces after Iowa and NH.

He has to win in SC’s Democratic Primary too. Dem primary voters are largely African-American and eggheaded academic types ( :pop: ). One of those groups has issues with homosexuals. It will be a problem for him, unfortunately.

Although Mayor Pete has spent significant amounts of time in SC, and visiting AA churches (including a historic one where I live. He gave a very well regarded speech/Q&A session here a few months ago).

Actually had a campaign canvasser knock on my door, for the first time in the 12 years we’ve lived here.

It was a recent Davidson grad, from Pittsburgh of all places, working for the Warren campaign.

She had a very detailed map of our voting precinct with recent Democratic primary voters (of which I am one).

That the Warren campaign has the resources to penetrate deep in a red state in a bleeding red county is pretty telling, and I would think very significant.

Other Dems just chalk up the state as a big L and only send canvassers in known Dem strongholds.

So Trump got rushed to Walter Reed last night?

(I'm hearing conflicting things so just asking)

It was just the (unscheduled) Phase One (whatever that means) of his yearly physical.

It's what Trump tweeted, but given precedent...
