You’re telling me that trump rally goers are still all on for trump?
Believe me, I want Trump gone. I think he's a buffoon and a disgrace.

But I'm sharing what I see every day in a battleground state. Just a few days ago I was buying a fake skeleton for a Halloween decoration in Joann Fabrics. A guy asked me how much they were and I told him. He said, "That's a good price. I can throw a noose around its neck, put a democrat sticker on it and hang it from a tree and my decorating is done." I laughed nervously and tried to move on but he followed me, ranting about the previous night's debate and how they all wanted to give everything away to the GD foreigners and that "we" need to send all the GD foreigners back. This was in Johnstown, an area which up until the last election might have been redneck/white trash but was consistently blue.

Ha. I do seem to attract people who are more than willing to share their opinions.

Trump went full culture war hero and that swung the rural parts of the state his way. But in doing that pushed the traditional gop suburbs towards the Democrats. Think college educated women.

I think Michigan and pa are comfortably Democrat heading into 2020. Wisconsin less so.

Those awkward moments when you laugh nervously when what you really ought to do is tell them to **** off.

When gently corrected by one of the astronauts about how other women have spacewalked, Trump uses his middle finger to "fix" his hair.

I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation.

It's a fixable error, but it would feel weird without it.

Trump says his Doral golf resort will no longer host next year’s G-7 summit, bowing to criticism

I guess Miami in June under traffic for MIA wasn't the best place to award yourself a no-bid government contract.

So about that "pulling our troops out of the Middle East thing"...
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/wor ... 044343002/
Defense Secretary Mark Esper says that under current plans all U.S. troops leaving Syria will go to western Iraq and the military will continue to conduct operations against the Islamic State group to prevent its resurgence.

Speaking to reporters traveling with him to the Middle East, Esper did not rule out the idea that U.S. forces would conduct counterterrorism missions from Iraq into Syria. But he said those details will be worked out over time.

this has nothing to do with this, because he probably did flick them off, but it reminds me of a funny thing that happened with my father in 5th grade. He agreed to talk in my class during health class about sex education. He used his middle finger, still does, to point at everything on the chalkboard and objects. I remember how funny it was being a 5th grader, that he essentially kept flipping the bird to a classroom of students. lol

So how will the Trump defenders spin this now?

Did Trump ever actually say those forces were coming home? I honestly don't remember; it was clear from day 1, at least initially, that they were just being redeployed within Syria.

I was thinking back to the days of the Medellín and Cali cartels and whatnot, and it's clear that Sinaloa and their like today are an order of magnitude more.... what's the word..... terrifying than their South American antecedents.

The premise of the decision was to get out of the endless war, not redeploy to the other endless war.

Ultimately, while we all went back and forth on this about being a legitimate investigation or not. I would hope it comes out, how much Mueller was "allowed" to actually investigate. For the investigation revolving around the meeting in Trump towers. Not investigating, or not being allowed to interview the person who made the call.
