I do not really like Chris Cuomo, but he has a knack for getting Rudy G to swallow a foot. That was farcical pants shitting.

This is so dumb.

If he signed my kid’s permission slip, id flip the **** out on him and the city. I’d probably sue him if I could.

My God. Finally some sense on nuclear. The fearmongering nonsense about nuclear power, which usually comes from the same portion of the population that decry fossil fuels and are most vocal about climate change, is one of the more maddening cognitive dissonance situations out there.

Federal prosecutors released new details Thursday as they charged Buck, 65, with distributing methamphetamine resulting in Moore’s death on July 27, 2017.

A criminal complaint and accompanying affidavit detailed multiple allegations that Buck injected men with meth against their wishes during sexual encounters.

The investigation found at least 10 alleged victims, several of whom described in salacious detail Buck’s apparent fetish to pay men to use drugs and have sex, which often took a dark turn and led to several suspected overdoses.

Messages to Buck’s attorney, Seymour Amster, were not immediately returned.

Even after another man, Timothy Dean, died of an overdose at Buck’s home in January, the Democratic donor continued to solicit men for sex and drug use until last week, when another man who overdosed managed to escape as Buck tried to stop him from leaving, authorities said.

Both men who died were black. Buck, who is white, was not charged for more than two years after Moore’s death, and critics have questioned if wealth, race or political ties influenced the investigation.

Buck has donated tens of thousands of dollars to California candidates, including Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, and is well known in LGBTQ political circles.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey, who is black and charged Buck this week with running a drug house, rejected the notion that there was any favoritism based on campaign donations.

“We were not at all moved by his reputation,” Lacey said.

The nuclear reactor at Three Mile Island will be shut down for the last time Friday, bringing an end to its active life as a power generating station on a spit of land in the middle of the Susquehanna River.

Wow...I had no idea. It is going to be really weird driving across the Susquehanna River bridge on the turnpike and not seeing the steam.

the first rule of banning guns is to not announce that you'll be banning guns before you ban guns.

this won't drive anyone to go buy more guns immediately. naaaaaahhh

I feel we would be at war with Iran if it was any other president.

For all his bullshit, he seems to at least be adverse to actual war with other countries.

In what timeline? Every other President would have stayed in the JCPA, and it’s not like you hear sabre rattling from the countries that didn’t leave. They’re all working hard to keep a diplomatic line of communication with Iran while Trump rage tweets them.

I mean, I agree that while his ego wants to be hailed as a great CiC, he thankfully doesn’t have the stomach for those bold, irresponsible types of action. Of course, now we’re sending troops to SA, where he swears anytime the Houthi Yemeni’s wipe their butt it’s an action carried out under direction from Iran. So the first time they strike a joint SA/US group he’ll be able to claim justification for whatever he wants to do to Iran. I pray his adversion continues then.

In situations like this, the worry is always an accidental escalation. Tensions are high now in large part because of Trump's fundamental incompetence. So while I agree that probably his only redeeming quality as President has been not recklessly expanding foreign military intervention, his recklessness in other areas has contributed to an increased likelihood of hostilities.

Yes. Absent all context, provocations like this from Iran would have lead to some sort of escalation and conflict.

But of course, Iran is essentially acting out in response to US economic provocations.
