I think this pretty well explains the gun control debate.

i mean...this varies depending on your POV of course. if you're a centrist or a righty with some flexibility, biden is your boy. but i'm not sure how warren, for example, has done anything but increase her stock over the last few months if you sit on the left.
No one doubts this, but Warren is not peeling any votes from Trump. Meanwhile, we've got MAGAShaf calling Biden the best-case scenario un-ironically.
fair enough. wasn't sure what angle you were taking.

warren being a man would substantially help the situation right now, but that doesn't look likely.

paywall...but based on the headline, this doesn't appear to nail it - unless it pivots into the diminished societal status of poor, disenfranchised white men.

Despite the fact that we are literally 0 presidential elections removed from a woman winning the primary and also the popular vote in the general, Elizabeth Warren is clearly disadvantaged because the population is totally sexist and couldn’t stomach the thought of voting for a woman.

i think the Obama-to-Trump voters in the handful of states where it actually matters...i think they largely have an issue with the thought of a woman president, yes.

So in PA, Obama carried erie county 57 to 40 against Mitt. Trump won it 48-46 against hill dog. you are telling me the people of erie county will vote for a black guy but not a woman?

"And you'll know this..." Is he referencing something here that I don't recall? Seems like an odd thing to know about someone.

They voted almost 60-40 for Casey and Wolf in 2018.

I think black guy is an easier vote than woman, yes.

Pretty sure the rejection of HRC in Erie County had way more to do with her being HRC than her being a woman...

Seems like it has to do with that whole thing with Ukraine and trying to pressure them to investigate Biden.

Yeah, by 2016 Clinton was essentially a mold-your-own grievance. The left considered her a republican, actual republicans had a laundry list of reasons to hate her, and the superpredator story was terrible for a lot of black voters.

He actually responded to that this morning, saying something like he doesn’t use a wallet or credit cards and carries cash for tipping. He thought it was a funny picture.

Cash for tipping makes sense, I guess. I remember reading an interview years ago that I think was with either Bill Clinton or George H.W. Bush (I think Bush), and he said that one of the weird things about being president (at least at the time) was that you never have anything in your pockets. You don't need keys because you never drive yourself or open your own doors, and you never carry a wallet because you never pay for anything yourself and don't need to carry ID. If you need a pen, a dozen people will leap to offer you one. I suppose today the prez would carry a cell phone, but that would be pretty much it.

Yeah, I've heard multiple past presidents talk about the pervasive feeling of..... unease(?) that comes from the most mundane parts of your daily life being upturned after January 20th.

This whistleblower stuff seems crazy. How long before he leaks the complaints to the press?
