The only way you can do stuff like this is if you hold the upmost contempt for your counterparts.

To me, this is the strongest argument for the Sanders platform. Get the levers of power, then jam your agenda through.

This is a state with Congressional districts drawn specifically to split the residence halls at an HBCU into two districts that otherwise have Republican majorities.

Gerrymandering of all stripes is despicable. It should not be in the hands of the elected, or any entity otherwise involved in partisan politics.

‘Someone’s Gotta Tell the Freakin’ Truth’: Jerry Falwell’s Aides Break Their Silence

More than two dozen current and former Liberty University officials describe a culture of fear and self-dealing at the largest Christian college in the world.

I like how he said the pictures of him clubbing were photoshopped and then the photographer released more pictures of him. What a horrible human being.

I actually wonder how many of those guys that spent hours breathing that dust in are still alive that were in that video.

28% of Democrats, 15% of Republicans, 10% of Unaffiliateds Would Support Bans on Pro-Gun-Rights Organizations

https://reason.com/2019/09/11/28-of-dem ... nizations/

Or, said another way, 28% of Democrats, 15% of Republicans, and 10% of Unaffiliated voters not only reject the RKBA, they also reject (or maybe have never even heard of) the constitutional right of freedom of association.

The Misplaced Feminism of Ms. Monopoly

I'm not sure I understand how it sends a "feminist" message to give female players extra money. To me, that implies that the only way a female player would be able to successfully compete with a male player is to give her extra advantages. My view is that the game is actually insulting to women.

9/11 is always a different day for me than most for several reasons that I've never really expressed before.

1) On the day of the attacks I was on active duty in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. Of course I didn't see any of it live and I wasn't aware of it at all until we were awakened and placed on full alert. Didn't return to the States until July of 2002 so I didn't experience it much like anyone, to be honest.

2) For example it is kind of out-of-body to hear everyone talk about watching it on tv and the uncertainty, quiet skies, and everything in the immediate days after the attacks. All things were "normal" in Japan and honestly not much changed on base. So I don't have any of the personal visceral associations with the sights and sounds of 9/11 or 9/12.

3) Several guys I knew would die or be wounded, or never really recover from the subsequent wars that followed. That stuff has never set well with me, and is part of the reason I don't watch war movies, etc... much anymore and am not as "rah, rah" patriotic wear-it-on-my-sleave as I maybe should be.

Just some thoughts.

Ban on flavored e-cigarettes coming. :pop:
Wildly stupid, yet I think this was coming regardless of who was in office. The state of Michigan just banned them as well.

Explain to me how you can ban flavored e-cigarettes, but not, ya know...FCKING CIGARETTES?! I am vehemently against both even though I think cigarettes should be sin taxed into oblivion, but the hypocrisy is ridiculous.

Because cigarettes don't come in mango flavor to entice kids.

I’m guessing it’s because the flavored liquid is marketed to hook young kids. They aren’t banning e-cigarettes completely. So I wouldn’t call it that hypocritical. Aren’t flavored cigarettes banned?

New Jersey’s Senate President is proposing banning of ALL vaping equipment sales. Not just to minors. All sales.

If we are going to a mandated single payer, all of the unhealthy vices should be banned. If we are all going to be in this together, let’s all be in it together all the way, right?

I don’t remember regular cigarettes killing people or giving them lungs of 70 year olds in under two years of smoking.
