I'm an continually amused by the fact that the Democrats have gotten to the point where they sound like the frickin' John Birch Society when it comes to the Russian "red menace."

Stacey Abrams is a loon.
Abrams calls voter suppression a national security threat to the nation. "If we do not secure our democracy in 2020 ... we will be having a very different conversation, potentially in Russian, in 2030." #NatSec2020

Well, since Russia went from communism to fascist oligarchy, it kinda makes sense...

And, imo, that is what this is all really about. The new global oligarchy. Trump is their tool to remove the 'world's cop' from the beat...

Are you saying that Democrats want the US to be the world's cop?

Sounds similarly ridiculous when you say "We'll be speaking Spanish if we don't stop immigration".

Has that not been the established order for the past 25+ years, under both parties?

Yes, actually. But the Democrats for most of the last 25+ years have at least said that they don't want the US to be the world's policeman.

Didn't say you did but you are attempting to normalize his behavior.

His personal behavior (such as his insults, tweeting, and overall childish pettiness) is absolutely aberrant when compared to past presidents. The actual policies of his administration are for the overwhelming part not aberrant for a Republican president.

Really?

Our last candidate, HRC, was an isolationist?

Most arguments I've heard come from the right, stating that we can't afford it. 'We need the money here, **** them' nationalistic bullshit...

There is literally only one candidate on the right who has ever talked like that.

The neocons have owned foreign policy on the right for 50 years.

Arguments for how long? Reagan was attacked by the Democrats for international interventionism. Bush I was attacked by the Dems for international interventionism. Clinton was attacked by many Republicans for not being interventionist enough. Remember all of the Code Pink protesters attacking Bush II for being a warmonger?

I forget how old you are, but I might have a longer historical perspective on this.
