These kind of tweets need to not happen. I don’t believe he can legally seat him until Alabama verifies the election. Which won’t be until January 3rd at the latest.

Stacked with teens.
The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!

He was 100% all in on backing a child molester that the people of Alabama ultimately rejected. That won’t go away.

Even if Moore never touched those girls as they said he did, he still was in favor of repealing every amendment after the 10th. He is in favor of repealing amendments that gave black people and women equal rights they should have. That alone makes him unfit for office.

This interview between Tapper and a Moore guy is hilarious:

https://youtu.be/oQvkQkf7TxI
 My goodness that was great. I love the end where they're talking about swearing on the Bible and Moore's guy just has a blank stare on his face. lol. Thanks for posting this.

Out of curiosity, what was wrong with Jones as a candidate other than he was a democrat in Alabama? I know all about Moore's horribleness, but I'm not aware of what makes Jones "a little less awful".

The people of Alabama will do the right thing. Doug Jones is Pro-Abortion, weak on Crime, Military and Illegal Immigration, Bad for Gun Owners and Veterans and against the WALL. Jones is a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet. Roy Moore will always vote with us. VOTE ROY MOORE!

Jones is a pretty "normal" Democrat, who would lose by 15 or 20 to generic GOP candidate.

Just like a "normal" Republican would lose to a generic DNC candidate by the same margin in whatever solid blue state you'd like to name.

The "little less awful" is obviously coming from a partisan GOP flak in that tweet, but one who did recommend Republicans vote for Jones to keep Moore out of the Senate.

I think as long as congress is planning to jam their donor relief bill through, we'll see statements such as this.

Trump proved to have no sway really in Alabama and was more of a non-dependent variable. Rampant partisan republicans love him, but republicans with dignity or more moderate positions reject him. His value was somehow appealing to those ~75K voters in MI, WI, PA and energizing the rural vote in those states. These people probably believed that the government needed to be shaken up and they do not support the donor relief tax bill. I think Trump's inability to deliver is going to deflate the enthusiasm of the rural vote and push those rust belt Obama-Trump voters back to blue in the presidential election.

Hopefully master strategist Steve Bannon will keep propping up terrible GOP candidates in primaries that then lose winnable general elections. Hopefully he's off to Arizona.

The last three Presidents have a pretty bad record when getting involved in local races.

Popularity with a voting block is not always transferable.

As a conservative, I'm happy he lost. Jones will serve one term, and then a much more palatable Republican will be in office, in all likelihood. Moore was a terrible politician and person, and the faster that scab gets peeled off, the better. Bannon has been getting mocked relentlessly by the GOP establishment. As much as I loathe the establishment, I loathe Bannon even more.
