I am deeply ashamed of the way the President of the United States has treated the veterans during an honoring ceremony at the White House. Veterans are brave heroes who sacrificed everything, despite the historical trauma to tribal nations, when asked to defend the United States. Absolutely nothing should have taken away from honoring the veterans for their contributions to the war that ensured the American way of life.

The President of the United States had an opportunity to honor veterans and bridge gaps in the relationship Tribes have with the Federal government. Instead, he chose to disgrace himself, his position and the nation he represents. It has been more than 200 years of living together yet the President of the United States knows nothing about us. We have been forced to learn the way of the American life. We have learned American religions, language, economy, politics and society. We all share in following the American dream of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. A dream that all of those things we learn about, try to keep us from achieving. The President’s comments are another reminder that we are not allowed to participate.

Pocahontas was only a child when she became a victim of rape, kidnapping, imprisonment, and her forced conversion to Christianity. What happened to Pocahontas is still happening today to our women. Native American women continue to be victims of rape and exploitation by white men. The President of the United States is practicing that by exploiting native women as an insult for political machismo. Pocahontas is beloved by native people and is recognized as a victim of European colonialism. To use her name in that manner is disgusting and reflective of the President of the United States’ ignorance.

This President of the United States does not deserve to represent the American people if he cannot acknowledge the contributions of the people who make America great. The President of the United States has shown no responsibility when caring for American resources or the people. An apology is in order for the warriors that were present, to the native nations and the United States for his behavior. The President of the United States wanted to utilize an opportunity to honor native warriors who defended this land to make a political attack. I have one for him, leave the office you bought and take your swamp things with you.

Are sanctions ever going to work on N. Korea?
No. We need to just sign a damn peace treaty and start working towards normalizing relations.

President Trump paid out more than $1 million in the late 1990s to a group of Polish workers in the country illegally who demolished the building that would eventually be replaced by Trump Tower in Manhattan, according to recently unsealed documents.

The workers in 1980 received as little as $4 per hour, and worked 12-hour shifts without gloves, hard hats or masks to demolish the Bonwit Teller building on Fifth Avenue, The New York Times reported Monday.

Trump testified that he did not remember the Polish workers being on the job.

Trump paid $1.375 million to settle the case, with $500,000 going to a union benefits fund and the rest covering lawyers' fees and expenses. The case was settled in 1998

Minimum wage in NY state in 1980 was $3.10/hr, so at least he was ahead of the curve on that front.

That was quite a read. Will have to read some more about this stuff to see if he's all wet. I have previously read about Dugin and he accurately captures his role and philosophy.

President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner met with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team this month to discuss former national security adviser Michael Flynn, CNN reports.

Kushner's lawyer, Abbe Lowell, told CNN that Kushner is cooperating with the special counsel's investigation of possible collusion between Trump campaign staff and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has delayed the testimony of an associate to former national security adviser Michael Flynn before a grand jury due to the possibility of reaching a plea deal, according to CNN.

I'm wondering that as well. He's been even crazier on Twitter than normal the past couple days. Must be something going on behind the scenes to rile him up.

Non stop unhinged tweets today
The House of Representatives seeks contempt citations(?) against the JusticeDepartment and the FBI for withholding key documents and an FBI witness which could shed light on surveillance of associates of Donald Trump. Big stuff. Deep State. Give this information NOW! @FoxNews

If the latest Republican that Democrats have a strange new respect for (John Kasich) offered up this tax plan we'd be hearing the exact same language of opposition from Pelosi and Schumer.

With a potentially far-reaching dimension, elements in both the House and Senate bills could constrain the ability of states and local governments to levy their own taxes, pressuring them to limit spending on health care, education, public transportation and social services. In their longstanding battle to shrink government, Republicans have found in the tax bill a vehicle to broaden the fight beyond Washington.

The result is a behemoth piece of legislation that could widen American economic inequality while diminishing the power of local communities to marshal relief for vulnerable people — especially in high-tax states like California and New York, which, not coincidentally, tend to vote Democratic.
I wonder if this is the article he's thinking of.

I think this tax bill will pave the way for a Bernie Sanders Presidency. I think more than anything, the GOP donors want Trump's face all over this bill. The electorate will get screwed and then they can make Trump the fall guy for this legislation even though this would have happened under any GOP president. They really lucked out that their base elected a race baiting patsy, really a best of both worlds thing.

Like the House tax bill, the Senate measure would change how the government adjusts tax brackets and other tax provisions for inflation, replacing the Consumer Price Index with the Chained Consumer Price Index, which tends to increase at a slower rate. While most taxpayers would not notice an immediate impact, the effects would compound over time as more low- and middle-income families are pushed into higher tax brackets, and as working families receive less help through benefits like the earned-income tax credit
This is the part of the tax bill that makes it clear this is a massive tax cut to capital being paid for by labor.

This is going to screw the high tax states and mostly democrat states. If you live in a low tax state and republicans state then you are most likely to get a tax cut. If anything it might solidify help keep states like Ohio, Florida, michigan and such red.

"strange new respect" is kind of odd language... I (and others) said I would have voted for him over Hilary. That is not necessarily "strange new respect", it's more of an indication of how bad of a candidate Hilary was that I would vote for a guy like Kasich over her. Anyone that seems half normal and doesn't keep their trap shut because Trump has an R next to his name is going to get some respect over the rest of the GOP loons... some.
