I think something will eventually happen, but not for the reasons you think. I'm just honestly curious what people think this brave new world is going to look like.
Considering the political leanings of who owns the bulk of the guns in this country (and where they own them), I doubt the post-revolution U.S. would be a progressive socialist paradise.
What's your 2nd Ammendment remedy for a tank?
A reminder for the politicians and generals directing said tank that we know where they (and their parents, spouses, children, grandchildren, etc.) live, go to school, and sleep at night.

Baltimore would vote in Deray McKesson in a heartbeat...they deserve him.
We now go live to McKesson HQ as the final votes are tallied

All of this Bernie hate is making me realize that people are starting to understand the frustration and complete and utter "wat?" a left leaning person such as myself feels about the bible thumping lunatics of the right.

One could argue that folks like Sanders worship a different god. And that fervent worship would have a much bigger impact on our daily lives than some dude being a "Bible-thumper" in office

So you're going to engage in an armed revolution and threaten to kill the family members of the opposition. You'll likely get a bunker buster dropped on your living room.

I think it's more likely that over half of the army would itself turn against the government in this type of situation.

I actually think Sanders' believe more closely reflect the teachings of Christ than most politicians.

Not the half that controls the drones and missiles. The revolution can have the private Smiths and Jones. Besides, many of them are overseas.

Actually most generals and high ranking officers are conservative, so you would be incorrect.

I didn't say I was going to start a revolution, armed or otherwise. But if one happens (or someone is thinking of making one happen), it would be a good idea to remember that the United States has the most heavily armed population of any country in the world, and that armed populace is widely (although certainly not uniformly) distributed.

Every once in a while I'll browse left-wing forums like on democraticunderground, and I'll see some left-wing person opine that one day the people will rise up and "take the country back" or something like that. But in such a situation, the people with the guns would be making the new rules, and for the most part the people with the guns in this country are not left-wing, especially when it comes to privately owned arms.

If you choose to join in on such a venture, good luck. You probably won't need more 30 days of powdered food.

The pilot of the drone controls the drone, and can refuse orders.

The revolution WILL come. I'd rather it be political.

Yeah a revolution will come. Once his policies bankrupt the country and high unemployment happen that is...
Is anyone actually afraid that his policies would be enacted? If by some miracle he was elected, it would be a complete battle to get a fraction of anything he wants. However, it might actually create some movement, or at least some more discussion on different ideas. Maybe other options would actually be explored.

I'm picturing Rapture from the first Bioshock game.
