It was, but Rubio's problem was it came at the end of the debate after 11:00pmET.

He should have used it earlier, and Christie's "You blew it." comment blunted the effect as well.

I thought Cruz won too. I really, really loathe Christy. A lot of it is because of his comments in the last debate where he seemed to eager to start WWIII, but his general personality is so toxic. I can't believe he's climbing in the polls. Actually, with Trump in 1st, I can believe it, I'm just disgusted by it. If you'd have told me at the beginning of the debate cycle that I'd come around to thinking Cruz might make the best Pres out of the R's, I'd have told you to stop drinking. But now... aside from Paul, Cruz is the guy I'd like to see get the nom.

Cruz is just a slight step above Trump for me. I have only one qualm so far with Rubio, but would welcome him as president.

Especially after listening to a garbage interview that Hillary gave on Rachel Maddow last night, accusing Bernie of attacking her by saying she takes money from Wall Street. Which is just the truth, then trying to spin that as he's against basically the entire democratic party because Wall Street gave Obama money too. She's basically planning to tie herself to Obama and champion Obamacare as some major success when it was a garbage compromise that should have been toxic to democrats at the start. If you start with the premise that every citizen needs to have health insurance, it's a backwards solution.

I'm pretty much equally terrified of a Cruz and Trump presidency. Trump, because that's unpredictable. But with Cruz being so closely linked to the Freedom Caucus in Congress...that disturbs me. It's going to be a self fulfilling prophecy for those guys and the doomesday crowd. With the belief that the US is going to tank, they're going to pursue their idealogical course, and if that tanks the economy, it was only because it was going to anyway.
