It's the weather for me. The whole coastal area there I think is absolutely perfect. I'd also need to be a multimillionaire to live where I would want to live though.

Depends on where you're at in San Diego, really. It's weather is phenomenal. The beaches are great. Some areas are good, some areas are bad (as with any city). Food is pretty darn decent... but I love mexican food and boy howdy do they have it.

I've only ever been to San Diego for Comic-Con so unfortunately I associate that city with huge crowds and the overwhelming smell of Hall H.

I'd like to go during the non nerd invasion times.

Yeah, can't argue about the weather in SD. I love all of CA in that regard, though. Especially compared to here where winter seems to last 6 months.

I know it's an anomaly but my wife went to a conference in San Diego in February 2023 and it rained the whole week.

Petco park is a top tier MLB stadium. I very much enjoyed the game there.

I saw an article on WSJ that if Truth Social gets an IPO - and that's looking likely - Trump would get a windfall of $3.5 billion. Of course, he'd have to hang onto the stock for six months before getting that windfall. He would actually be a billionaire at that point, all because he was banned from Twitter. Ugh.

If Truth Social becomes public, the value will immediately plummet.

As the merger is currently structured he isn't permitted to sell his shares in any resultant public company or use them as collateral for financing for a period of time. He could always seek a waiver, of course.

I haven't really followed this super closely (or at all, even), but apparently the original CEO and a couple other folks who were co-founders of Trump Media/Truth Social were ousted last year, and they banded together to form the holding company that's acquiring Trump Media in this merger. They are also suing Trump (*shocked face*) for [insert reasons of business dickheadery here], and that litigation might impact the value of Trump's stake in this merger. Or not. I don't know. I keep sacrificing goats in the hopes that a meteor hits him and makes this all go away, but alas. I think I need better goats.

Eh. I still maintain the problem isn't the wack-a-loons in Congress. It's the fact that those wack-a-loons are far more representative of the general baseline in 2024. (Another way of saying this: Trump isn't the problem, Trump supporters are the problem) Steve King has only been gone like four years, and his lunacy seems almost quaint now.
