It’s funny because they’re racist, misogynistic, and sexist right?

Javier Milei's speech before the commie globalists at the WEF, translated into English (in his own voice) using AI:

Being a conservative in this day is not for the weary or weak. There are 3 problems as I see them:

1) Conservative talking heads in Con. Inc are mostly empty-headed numpties.
2) Old guard "Reaganites" are living on a different planet.
3) Trolling libs is not an actual philosophy.

You mean the joke that didn't offend the person it was about?

Nothing is more 2024 liberal than getting offended on someone else's behalf.

- Aristotle was not Belgian.
- The central message of Buddhism is not "every man for himself".
- The London Underground is not a political movement.

Those are all mistakes, Otto. I looked them up.

I think conservatism has a sort of natural confrontational component to it.

Conservatism, as you’ve expressed it, seems more on the Wendell berry side of like countryside living. I think the trolling the libs stuff is the sort of reactionary conservatism of this era.

What used to be fighting against reconstruction, desegregation, labor movements, civil rights, etc, is now reaction against representation in the swimsuit issue.

Maybe I would just always distinguish between intellectual and confrontational/reactionary conservatism

Voting for a democrat is wayyy easier now than it was pre-MAGA. Just don’t be a complete loser and you’ll probably win in a majority of the country as the GOP candidate is likely a psychopath.

Kind of goes to show how full of losers the DNC is.

Who’s offended? It’s more of a large eye roll. The Bee is that person we all knew in college that thought they were edgy because they used racial slurs as a “joke” but at some point worked themselves into believing what they were saying. They have the vibe of “it’s a joke, but not really, but I can say it is.” It’s what my kids and their friends would call “cringe.”

They comprehensively 'lost' on those earlier points. The world heard their arguments for a century and eventuality said 'nah'. It feels like the general grouchiness of today's conservatism is an outgrowth of that rejection and the world discarding that point of view. All that remains is beer boycotts.

Over the last seven years I went from voting for Trump (2016) to not voting for a single Republican since 2020. It's hard to describe the visceral disgust I feel with the MAGA movement and all of its detritus. And the craven GOP.

Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican?
Did you know that the democrats were the segregationist party?
Did you know that nazis were national SOCIALISTS?

And you know what that means? obama is racist.

If Trump wins 2024. I wonder if Melania makes it to the White House again.

That video of them separating at her mom’s funeral to drive separate is pre-divorce move if I ever saw one.

The president of Argentina is sharing Babylon Bee articles written about him

Yet another reason to like Milei. Although he needs to do something with that haircut. Not quite as bad as Boris Johnson, but yeesh.

Stefanik would 100% let Trump roll on top of her for the BP nomination

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 ... elosi/amp/
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) pushed back on reports that former President Trump mixed up his GOP presidential primary rival Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), according to an NBC News report.

“The reality is Nikki Haley is relying on Democrats, just like Nancy Pelosi, to try to have a desperate showing,” Stefanik said.
