The alarm is dressed in red and was clearly asking for it. If it doesn’t want to get pulled off then it should be more modest in its presentation.

This is funny to me because it was a bipartisan bill in which a majority of Republicans voted in favor of. Pedohead is just upset that McCarthy didn’t capitulate to the demands of the extremists in dumb, red hats.

Seemed to be something about not having time to read the bill and not wanting to vote on something where pieces were put in at the last min.

I've been trying to think of some innocuous explanation, however goofy, like he was running down the stairs and braced his hand on the wall and whoops pulled the alarm. But he's apparently on security cctv quite calmly and rather deliberately like "Oh, here's the fire alarm *pull*".

Whatever sanction is appropriate, go for it. I'm guessing that includes municipal criminal stuff and whatever escalation would carry for it being a federal bldg.

Apparently his official explanation was "I got to a locked door at the Cannon Building, couldn't open it, and thought the fire alarm switch would do the trick".

Which begs the question, if he's telling the truth, on why he thought the switch labeled "FIRE" would open a door

The door locks would be released in case of a fire to allow people to get through the building safely and quickly.
I mean, I sort of get the mechanics of it, but its a pretty obvious lie.
