This whole “nobody wants to work/people are lazy” thing from taint fondlers like this is almost comical. What really happened is that workers finally had enough and are pushing back on **** jobs and **** working environments.

Todd Rundgren was rightI dont want to work
Politics And Current Events
Most people don’t mind work if they’re fairly compensated. Nobody wants to work **** jobs for **** wages anymore is more accurate.
Politics And Current Events
My first job was in 1983 and I made $3.35 which inflation adjusted is $9.61 so low wage pay has increased quite a bit.

By the time I started working at Wendy's in 1987 the minimum wage was... still $3.35. I remember working an entire shift paid for one CD.

My first real job was on a farm doing **** work for five something an hour...did what I had to do to keep things going as my mom was almost completely useless and my dad's work got real slow after 9/11...but it's rough right now it seems, something is gonna break and cause a ripple effect...and then we'll have to watch a bunch of movies about it 5 to 7 years later...

are you saying Little Bill’s “no firearms in Big Whiskey” ordinance in Unforgiven was unconstitutional??Even other Democrats recognize that it's blatantly unconstitutional. So far the Albuquerque police chief, Albuquerque mayor, Bernalillo County sheriff, Bernalillo County district attorney, and New Mexico Attorney General—all Democrats—have all said that they won't enforce or defend the order.Today in "blatantly unconstitutional political acts"...

It would have been, yes.

You guys should really read "Bullshit Jobs" by David Graeber. It is a bit too long and repetitive, but has several interesting points. For example that people can make a shitload of money without doing much work, but still feel sad because their jobs are unnecessary or even detrimental to the society.

Lauren Boebert escorted out of Beetlejuice the musical for vaping, recording, and singing loudly. Apparently during the process, she hit them with everyone’s favorite “do you know who I am?!?!”

And she may not make it through the next election. Here's hoping at least.

A) the declaration of a state of emergency and suspended concealed permits likely is unconstitutional by method...are you saying Little Bill’s “no firearms in Big Whiskey” ordinance in Unforgiven was unconstitutional??
It would have been, yes.
B) Bruen's history test dated back to 1900, required analogous laws to be on the books, and for it be part of the "tradition" of America. There's plenty of local, firearm restricting laws on the books prior to 1900.
Obviously biased source here, but it does a decent job providing examples and the problems with "historical tradition."

In essence, Thomas's test introduced in Bruen is vague and leaves a lot of gray area as to the judgement. Expanded (because the second is no different than any other amendment), it changes the interpretation of every Amendment to terms of "What have we done before? Sure, lets just keep doing that."

The 'tradition' part of Bruen is uncommonly dense.
Also, Big Whiskey in "Unforgiven" was in 1880 Wyoming, which was a U.S. Territory at that time. Similar real-life public carry restrictions in Wyoming and other so-called 'Western Territories' were I believe actually cited by NY while Bruen was litigated. (Iirc these Territories were pretty much the lands obtained via the Louisiana Purchase, the Mexican-American War, and the related Native genocide which had yet to coalesce into Statehood) There was no question of the technical applicability of the Constitution to U.S. Territories. But as I understand it, SCOTUS in Bruen more or less said "so what" to that on two fronts. The opinion states that while the Constitution applied, the existence of such firearms restrictions in Territories (which were 'transitional' and 'temporary' governments) were not instructive to proper interpretation of the Second Amendment, as they were essentially free to govern as they pleased with little oversight from Washington.
So.......... were there constitutional grounds at the time to challenge the legal authority of carry prohibitions in 1880 Wyoming? Yes. As a functional matter, would it have amounted to anything at the time? No. Does the existence of those restrictions provide valid guidance for modern lawmaking re firearms? Also no. So it's not so much that Little Bill’s “no firearms in Big Whiskey” ordinance was unconstitutional, it's that no one cared if constitutional protections were religiously enforced in bumblef**k Wyoming in 1880.

Romney to Retire, Calling For a ‘New Generation’ Beyond Biden and Trump
The Utah Republican and 2012 G.O.P. presidential nominee, 76, said he would step aside to make way for younger leaders and strongly suggested the president and former president should, too.
Senator Mitt Romney of Utah, the 2012 Republican nominee for president who made a historic break with his party when he voted to remove former President Donald J. Trump from office, announced on Wednesday that he would not seek re-election in 2024, saying he wanted to make way for a “new generation of leaders.”
He strongly suggested that Mr. Trump, 77, and President Biden, 80, should follow his lead and bow out to pave the way for younger candidates, arguing that neither was effectively leading his party to confront the “critical challenges” the nation faces.
“At the end of another term, I’d be in my mid-80s. Frankly, it’s time for a new generation of leaders,” Mr. Romney, 76, said in a video statement. “They’re the ones that need to make the decisions that will shape the world they will be living in.”
The announcement was in some ways the culmination of a long divergence between Mr. Romney, a genteel and wealthy former governor and traditional conservative, and the Republican Party, which has veered sharply to the right and embraced a coarser brand of partisanship in recent years.

Good, not like anyone listens to Romney but sadly this won't move the needle to convince people not to vote for near-octogenarians. And in fact if Trump is the nominee I'll vote for Biden, so it won't convince me either.
