We had a company meeting where we played a kahoot game. You log on via your phone or web browser and you put a nickname in. There were two FJB nicknames, one Trump2024, and one TrumpWon.
Legitimate brain rot to do that at work.

Yeah, on its surface it seems dumb...but if you take a deeper look, you'd need to add another "very" or two before "dumb"...
EDIT: Works for the ninja post as well, excellent

No worries, I'm sure the state of Florida will help her out as her and her baby mature into responsible people.

Surprised they already haven't started calling her a welfare queen yet

So looks like the FBI did take those passports mistakenly, and had called to return them prior to Trump even posting that SM bit about them being stolen. He likely only knew they were stolen because the FBI wanted to correct the issue.

What I heard was that the warrant was to take all materials packaged with the classified items. So, if trump packed his passports along with his classified mementos, the agents were going to take them.
Then they returned them, there is no reason to read into this.

I want to hear about where these classified docs were stored. In boxes with other things like the passports or in a safe? If in a safe he can't contend he didn't know he had the docs.

He can't contend he didn't know about it for a bunch of reasons. Mostly because the government requested that he return materials that didn't belong to him, Trump sent a bunch of stuff back and then attested that they returned all the sensitive/classified stuff back when they didn't.I want to hear about where these classified docs were stored. He could still play dumb for MAGA world and say he didn't know they were in there but if in a safe he can't claim that.He can't contend he didn't know about it for a bunch of reasons. He can claim whatever he wants and MAGA world will believe it. I am not too concerned with how he chooses to frame the issue to his maga chud fans.
I think the open question, and what will determine the course of action from the doj is what trump actually did with the sensitive materials. If it is indeed just trump wanting to keep his letters from his North Korean pen pal. Then I would guess this whole thing was just done to retrieve the documents from a non compliant trump.
But if this relates to sensitive documents being shared/given/sold to others, then I believe this leads to charges.
I don’t really have an opinion on whether I think this is him being defiant, or him being treasonous. I don’t pretend to believe he isn’t capable of the latter

That's a good one too. I had a labmate in grad school that sent out an e-mail about a group meeting and he added "England will also be attending". It made me laugh because I thought "The whole country?!?!?!" He just meant the one group we work with that happened to be located in England.

This came up with Mrs Tif the other day. I haven't really given it any thought, but it was an interesting idea so here it is for discussion: At the end of January, the IRS should send everyone a tax bill with their liability clearly spelled out. At that point individual taxpayers can endeavor to lower the number via whatever mechanisms are appropriate for their situation, but start out that every dollar is presumed as 'income'.
The current system is too reliant on self-reported information. I don't know if (or even how, really) the billing model could address that, but I thought it was an interesting concept.

They do this in Norway and other Euro countries, I think. It makes too much sense, but you just know that it will end with the right about SoCiALiSm!!!This came up with Mrs Tif the other day. Huh, I was not aware that other places already did that.

Yeah, they basically do them for you and if you disagree with what you owe, you can try to dispute it.

IRS: Send us what you owe us
Taxpayers: Okay, here's what I think the math works out to
IRS: Incorrect, you owe us $1203.64 more than what you claim
Taxpayers: IF YOU KNEW THIS ENTIRE **** TIME, WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST TELL US?!
