Libretarian was always just a cool way to advocate for conservative economic policies and signal that you didn’t care about the dumb culture stuff. But now, it’s cool to be all in on the culture stuff

If Rudy had a gun on him, he would have never been put in that situation. Just horrible.

So now that the GOP set it’s sights on rolling back rights for homosexuals who here is still going to pull that gop level? Anyone here think they don’t deserve the same rights as heterosexuals?

Absolutely that guy should not have put hands on him, but the way Rudy described this incident was embarrassing.

Not from me. My brother and his husband would be the first to leave the country if that happens and this country would miss them.

They're not eliminating rights for homosexuals, you see. They're just giving it back to the states. They're not going to roll back the separate but equal ruling, they're just going to give it back to the states. They're not going to roll back the outlawing of slavery, they're just giving it back to the states.

You crazy libtards and your wild stories about "rolling back rights". Psh.

Yes, the law should reflect the will of the people. Conservatism is a cancer

This next month: What if Bleeding Kansas was fought with money instead of guns?
Currently KS's constitution is interpreted to protect abortion. August 2nd an amendment will be voted on to remove that right. The amendment says it will allow Kansans through their elected state legislators to regulate abortion.
In reality, the state alreayd requires:
State directed counseling.
A 24 hr waiting period
Parents consent for minors minor's
A 20 week cutoff (unless the mother's life is danger)
State Insurance funding only if the mother's life is in danger
Public funding only is cases of mother's health, rape, or incest
Telemedicine to proscribe medication is outlawed.

Well, sadly, I'd assume that now the law in Alabama reflects the will of the people of Alabama.

Those minors certainly won’t feel pressure to pray with their coach.

Strict Fundamentalists will say no. The text is the text and cannot be interpreted (unless it references a militia).
The rest of the country, believing that nearly 250 years ago a bunch of guys in powdered wigs hadn't thought of everything, see's them as guidelines open to interpretation.

Again, well beyond time to start taxing religious institutions if they're going to start mixing church and state together.

I don’t know the whole case here, but I think there’s a difference between forbidding prayer and forcing it. Would be different if kids received disparate treatment for declining to participate would be a different story

That's because fundamentalism is a farce. Just a pretext to advocate for their set of preferences.

If the law should reflect the will of the people than taxes go away. Woohoo!
