I'm sure they'll be here Wednesday evening when I'm towing my windowless racecar from Allegheny to Westmoreland county.

Looks like some pretty vigorous storms are popping up over in Ohio. Let's see if they make it to PA.
Hope they do, you can just feel the water in the air. Hate days like this.

I used to be able to handle days like this, even in a steel mill, but I have to be in AC now a days when it gets like this.

Wonderful rain in Fayettenam. Over an hour soaker. It looked like I was on the back side of it and it just kept growing as it passed over

I used to be able to handle this heat but not anymore. I go outside to do some yard work or other stuff and have to get back in the AC after a short time. Not sure how other old timers make it down in Florida. Maybe some can get used to it. I can't.
So I just post more on 5af.
Heat constricts blood vessels, reducing the flow of oxygen.

Today is the first rain we’ve had in close to three weeks. My garden and yard desperately needed it.

It's amazing how cold 78 degrees can feel when it's been above 90 for more than a week.

Yup. Honestly, I would rather have a 90 degree day with a 60 degree dew vs. an 80 degree day with a 75 degree dew, which is what we have this morning. Just brutal.

We did pick up 1.13" of rain since yesterday with the line of storms last night. Much needed.

I have a super-duper 70-pint dehumidifier in my basement that is rated to cover a larger square footage than my house. In summer I usually keep the windows shut even when it's hotter inside than out because I find I mind the humidity more than the temperature. Something like 78 degrees and 50% humidity is often more comfortable to me than 70 degrees and 80% humidity. I only open the windows if the humidity is below 50%, which is my setting on the dehumidifier.
