McKnight by Bed Bath and Beyond and Chick Fil A is flooded.

I honestly can't say I've ever seen that portion of road flood before this year.

I went down 130 today from the parkway into Penn hills and it looked like I was driving down a dry creek bed. Bet that road flooded so bad. (sandy creek rd I think?)

It looks like a liquefaction zone in an earthquake. (That's not what it is, just what it looks like)

Maybe we ought to bump the bar for "heat wave" because of, ya know, global warming n'at...90 is lay-up, it seems, like for most of this 30 day stretch that we're in the midst of...

It's 1 week too early imo

I'm moving out of my no-AC place on the 29th. My new place has AC.

I might not survive

Me, in May:
I am auto racing in Kershaw, SC this weekend. Camping at the track. Last I looked it is supposed to be 97F Saturday.
It ended up being 102F.

Then at my next race:
We got hit with an uncharacteristically violent long duration storm here at the race track here in Topeka. My two EZ-Ups and our tent were destroyed by the wind and then flooded by the non-stop rain and hail, which is still underway.

Now I see:
Mid-July scorch incoming. Next weekend is gonna suck.
I'm racing at another track in South Haven, MI next weekend.

Sthaaaaaap with this ****.

Absolutely perfect here today - sunshine, light breeze, 80 degrees, dew point 53.

Took the afternoon off...

Yes, today feels awesome. It's a little more humid here, but compared to what we've had and what we will have, it feels like a great summer day.

The numbers on these maps do not make sense. I mean, it looks like a map of eastern PA and NJ, but the numbers say 'San Fernando Valley' or 'Las Vegas'. Dissonance reigns.

well, Heat Index as it's presented isn't a real thing so the numbers can be whatever you want.

The Rothfusz Equation is actually a pretty interesting formula.

I'm sure it's objectively derived. I just have no faith that green screen hero with News Channel Numbnuts© reciting weather on the 8s is reporting it with any real meaning.

For sure--as always, dew points are more reliable. And they will be well into the 70s this weekend.
