This has been a miserable winter for snow lovers. I believe this ranks as the third lowest snowfall total for Philadelphia season to date since 1942.

I'm really frickin' salty about the lack of snow. Bought a new shovel in the fall.

I will not complain. I'm going to be pissed when it's snowing in March, though.

It was snowing hard last night. Woke up and it was all completely gone.
Neighbors have been getting a lot of landscaping done at least. More than one have taken out some very large trees.

When I went to seattle a couple years ago for about 5 days, I had a grand total of 30 minutes of rain and every damn day was sunny. even when I was in Olympic it was sunny. we took a boat tour in the sound and it was clear enough to see both Olympic and ranier from the boat. /csb
which brings us to one of the kangaroo's life lessons: the nice days in the pacific northwest are nicer than any nice day in the rest of the country.

Yup, sunny days around the Puget Sound are something to behold. The view of the Olympic Range is incredible...I love the Olympic Peninsula geography in general. Surrounded on three sides by water but contains a mountain range up to 8,000 feet.

I don't live in Seattle, it was sunny yesterday. (In Shelton, the 4th sunny day since November)

Yeah, upstate schools are closing early too. Nothing going on here, just 90 minutes south.
I've lived in this miserable backwater since 2007. We had at least one significant snow/ice event a year (usually 2-3) every year until last year. Looking at the long term forecast, it looks like we won't get much here either.
Of course, a significant snow/ice event is 2-3" with below freezing temps for a few days. That's enough to shut everything down for most of a week.
My January electric bill - usually the highest of the year - is among the lowest of any month in the 12+ years we've lived in the house. Two weeks with upper 60s-mid 70s temperatures will do that for you.
Still want some snow though.

That tornado that touched down was about 3 miles from my house. My wife’s school has been in lockdown for almost two hours
