Good news my daylight-loving friends. Despite the winter solstice still being two weeks away, tomorrow is the latest sunset of the year for Pennsylvania! Pittsburgh sunset is at 4:53:20. By next Sunday, we will have gained just over a minute of daylight in the evenings.

Latest sunrise is on January 3/4 (07:43:14)

here are 'no signs of life' on the New Zealand tourist island rocked by a volcanic eruption on Monday and no more survivors are expected to be found, police have said.

Five people have been confirmed dead in a powerful eruption on White Island, also known as Whakaari, at 2.11pm local time on Monday when an estimated 50 tourists were on or around the volcano crater.

Eighteen survivors have been evacuated - some suffering severe burns - leaving an estimated 27 people unaccounted for. Police say the number of missing is in double figures, but refused to give an exact figure.

Looking at the radar, very impressive squall line moving through the Pittsburgh area right now.

Every phone in our conference room just blew up warning us about it. It's south of the city, airport should be fun about now.

For legitimately 150 seconds it snowed a very thin, moderately heavy snow outside here...I'm at work. Immediately, four people were - I don't want to say yelling - but with very escalated voices saying, "OMG it's snowing" ... "Can you believe it's..." ... "What the **** is going on?!?!" and etc. multiple people are getting up to look out various windows...including mine...and there's just general annoyingness afoot...

It is rare to see snow here, the last time it snowed here was way back in...Monday.

For all who reacted...please go to the nearest Applebee's and promptly set yourself on fire...you are trash people...your kids probably wear crocs...
