Good news my friend....we are finally going to get a cold front coming through Thursday afternoon and evening. It will bring storms with it, but in the wake of the cold front, there will be a large drop in humidity and it will be much more comfortable. Friday will be breezy (borderline flat out windy), but it will feel nice. The weekend is going to be absolutely superb throughout PA/DE. Temps in the upper 70s, low humidity, plenty of sunshine. Enjoy.

In the areas out this way that suffered under the training, slow-moving thunderstorms yesterday, there were some crazy rainfall totals. 4-6" of rain yesterday near Reading and some totals as high as 8+" of rain over a 24 hour period in New Jersey. That's awful.

On another note, the earliest sunrises of the year have officially come and gone. Starting on Tuesdays, the sunrises have started to slowly come later, a trend that will continue until December. However, the latest sunsets of the year are coming in about a week's time.

my friends hometown West Lafeyette in SE OH got flooded hard Tuesday. Picture look like the whole town was underwater and they were expecting 1"-5" more of rain yesterday. Just horrible

Horizon is looking bad again here in New Jersey. Oh great, a rush hour monsoon for the third day in a row.

That was a quick-hitter, only dropped about 0.2" here. Driving through West Chester, I saw a car that had gotten submerged in a flooded railroad underpass. Looked like a couple of yutes. Dummies.

I saw that the North Rancocas Creek in Mount Holly had reached major flood stage.

The Rancocas isn't far from me, but not too close to do damage.

Route 73 is still reporting closures from this morning and that's throwing traffic to all the other major routes...including mine.

Meh. Sunny tomorrow and I'm off. AC here I come!

The railroad underpass at the Cornwells Heights Station usually floods anytime there is heavy rain. A couple weeks ago, it submerged the sidewalk enough that you couldn't walk through it without getting your shoes soaked. That is the highest it has ever been that I remember since I moved out here in 2006, although I am sure it has been higher during Sandy and Irene, but I worked from home during the worst of those storms. It came close to that yesterday, but luckily didn't crest above the sidewalk. Some dummy decides to try to drive through it too even though the water is up to your windshield.

I got rained on, quite hard at times, all the way from Pittsburgh to Akron and out to somewhere in the middle of Illinois.

72 degree dew point this morning, vs. low 50s over the weekend. Summer is here with a vengeance.
