We need to sand and stain our deck. We got a really nice set of new deck furniture...nice chairs, slate table, umbrella, the works. All I want to do is get it out of my **** garage so we can enjoy it on the deck, and God forbid we string three dry days together

Annually the average rainfall amounts are the same. Pretty telling that it's up 37% so far.

After some beautiful weather in the early part of this week, looks like we will be gearing up for the first truly punishing and long-lasting heat wave of the summer this weekend. It is going to be **** terrible. High temps in the mid 90s with heat indices easily surpassing 100 degrees. Sunday looks like it will be the worst day, not that it honestly matters at that point.

Thank god I decided to skip out on the party/camping frisbee tournament this year. That looks brutal.

A friend is camping with her husband and three kids on the beach in the Outer Banks this week. In a tent. They look completely miserable, other than when they are in the ocean.

I'm supposed to be golfing in Indy this weekend. Even though my round isn't until 4pm, I'm sure it's still gonna be upper 80s throughout most of the round. Man it's gonna be brutal.

A tent, on the beach, for a frigging week, in late June!? Whose idea was this? In addition to the heat, what if it rains? What about the sand? Their sht is going to be ruined.

We're getting a day long soaking rain leading into the heat wave. It was already going to be humid anyway but laying down a steady stream of moisture for a whole day is just going to ensure it starts off as soupy as possible.

In other words, I'm going to pay dearly for putting off mowing the lawn.

Yesterday I decided to put together our deck furniture instead of cut the grass. I'm looking forward to spending an hour raking grass in 90 degree weather on Saturday :thumb:

I was backing out of the driveway this morning and wondering if I would make it home before the rain to mow before the HEAT hits us here in South Jersey.

Judging by the radar, the grass will be soaked by the time I get home. So you might be screwed too.

There's a BBQ and Bluegrass event tomorrow evening here. Looking like the weather will be in the high 70's with low humidity in the evening, so we're definitely going. Gotta spend some outside time before the heat of the weekend hits. I'm definitely not looking forward to that.

My Dad got free tickets to see Foreigner at Keybank Pavilion yesterday. I'm sure that went well.

Saw that show in Camden over the weekend. Really fun time. Between Foreigner, Whitesnake and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, you know all the songs and have a good time.
