Wow. Dorian is about to make landfall right over Halifax with 100 mph winds. It actually has strengthened to a strong Cat 2

As long as I know the sun is going to come out strongly and bring temps up into the 60s at a minimum, I love those crisp starts.

It's a little refreshing. But a mild annoyance having to put on a jacket or sweatshirt to take the dog out in the morning as opposed to just jumping out of bed

Last night at midnight here it was 81. That's disgusting.
This is the high pressure/tropical air that follows a hurricane. Another reason to hate September.

Yeah, I have an auto race I'm running from Thur-Sun this week in Kentucky and it's mid-90s the whole time. I'm very unimpressed right now.

WTF....Euro for 10/3:
We have had some beautiful fall days, but it always suck getting heat waves this time of year when the normal days are so perfect.
On a side note, I always love that Allegheny ridgeline cool down.

Fear not, yinzers. Months of perpetually gray skies, cold temps, and snow will be upon you before you know it.

We have upper 90s right into the first week of October. Fortunately, the dew points are low enough that it's only reasonably miserable.

Ugh.
First 90s day in Philly in 78 years it looks like. The last four times it has happened, the winters have been below normal in terms of temperature. Go figure.
