noticed this morning that multiple street signs knocked down last night. One poster in our neighborhood group said their wind speed indicator on their deck picked up wind at 65 mph.

The worst of the damage that I had was that I'm now missing part of the light cover on my lamp post. I kinda wanted to replace it anyways since it had one panel cracked and another missing, but now I'm kinda forced to since it's missing the top. For now I have plastic covering it so the electric parts aren't exposed to the weather, but I don't want HOA up my ass so I should probably replace it sooner than later. :(

The neighboring house, which has been sitting vacant since before we moved in mid-December, had its fascia trim along the roofline ripped off by the wind.

I woke up to shingles scattered all over my back yard, luckily they were from the neighbors house. Are those reusable? Should i just toss them over the fence into their yard?

The rivers were so choppy this morning in the predawn drive that I though for a second it was covered in ice chunks.

Our 'sticks for kindling' harvest is really good this year. Going to have to go out later today and collect them up, should be a pretty sizable pile. I use them in the summer for the firepit.

so unrelated to the weather there was a water main break at the bottom part of town. 36" main broke. This is all from it, NOT from a flooded creek. wow

This is awesome. The wind blew over a steel communication tower at Sugarloaf, Maine:

Also, Mount Washington had sustained winds of 145 mph and gusts to 170 during the wind storm. It's crazy to me that a peak that is only a couple hundred feet north of 6,000 has such extreme conditions.

The forecast for the first full week of March... Oy. Multiple snow threats, and lows well into the single digits for multiple days next week.

I used to do this but wised up. Now it's May before I start expecting warmer weather.

Nah bruh, I'm looking for mild temps and intermittent rain to clear the salt away. Hook me up.

I'm trying to drive the Delorean to Coastal NC on March 9th so I need non-salt weather leading up to it.

Well, March 9 will be the warmest day of the ten...hopefully in the mid-40s. Meanwhile (in graphic form)
