It was incredibly warm here today. I came home and was running around with my daughter in shorts and a t-shirt, and sweating. Tomorrow morning will be a rude awakening.

The last couple days were indeed a historic February torch. I love Mount Washington's all-time high at 48F.

Turned out to be a decent trip. 4 guys backed out, so it was just my buddy and I. We walked in before the rain and left after all the rain Saturday night. Even got a 1 mile hike in Saturday afternoon.Oh lord...sorry to hear that.Picked a bad weekend for our winter camping trip
We drove over to Ohiopyle just to see what the river looked like Sunday morning. The Yough was at 10', but I could see evidence that it peaked near 12'. Almost to the height of the parking lot near the falls.

A co-worker had a massive tree in her yard uproot due to the soft ground and land on her and her husband’s car, totaling both of them. The thought of that happening never even crossed my mind and now I’m panicky about the massive tree next to my house.

Had an 80' pine come down but thankfully fell the only way it could without damage...except a power line.
Had a tree guy quote me $2000 to take it apart. The damn thing was already down!
Went and bought a chainsaw and two replacement chains and did it myself over two days.
That said @Silentom , pines are notorious for having shallow roots. Heavy rains followed by winds can topple them right over.
