Do wildfires get included in weather complaints?
California is a mess.

I'm not sufficiently equipped to tell if that's a yes or no.

Flood = yes. Fire = no. Take it to the irrational pet peeves thread.

Sure, but no one cares. The apathy is strong with bad California weather due to the endless preening about how 'perfect' the weather is there. Suck it up, buttercup.

Almost back on the grid.

Power came back on overnight. BUT, the tree is still laying on top of wires (electric and phone/internet). The internet and phone are not working, but the power is on. Power company never came out to our house, just turned on the grid. Cops put Crime Scene tape all over the yard this morning to keep people away from the live wires.

Not touching anymore of the tree until the wires are relocated.

Never thought I'd say this, but it's good to be back at work.

Sorry BJ....that sucks.
Is this a thinly veiled dirty joke?

If so, well done.

If not, thanks.

Grow your own vegetables, then. 90% of the food people in this country eats comes from here.

That might've flown when I was in NC, but having more butchers and farmers markets than grocery stores here in WI I'm happy to let you fall into the ocean if it comes to that. :pop:

Good grief...we went from upper 90s-low 100s in SC to 68 here in San Francisco. It did hit 74 today, and the locals are complaining about the heat....

Jersey is typcially ranked in the top 5 for blueberries, cranberries, peaches and peppers.

Eggplant and squashes are up there too.

The majority of surf clams and quahogs used for chowders and clam strips are also harvested/landed in Jersey too.

We do a lot for the most densely populated state in the country.

Wisconsin is the nation’s leading producer of cranberries, harvesting more than 60 percent of the country’s crop.

Non complaint about the weather: I love random cold snaps in the summer like today. Making some bread and some soup for dinner and I can just pour a glass of scotch and enjoy the cool weather for a day or two.

I appreciate cooler days like this during the summer where can just open up the windows in the house instead of running the A/C. The rain sucks cause we've had so much of it, but I don't mind it being cooler.
