I spent some time trying to learn the METAR abbreviations. The one that got me was "BR" for "brume," which is French for "mist." I assume that since MT is "mountains" they couldn't think up anything better to use for mist. Either that or there was some deal where the French language cops demanded that at least some of the METAR stuff had to be in French or they'd go on strike or something.

Tif, not sure if you remember long time WTAJ weatherman Tom Casey. He passed away last summer... I was bummed to hear about it.
Never did get to go on a Casey's Cruisers excursion

This winter sucks. I enjoy the warm days in winter me more than most but the nonstop 30s/40s with rain blows.
We will pay the price when the bugs are 10x worse this summer.

This storm has been all over the map with the projections this week. Yesterday accuweather put it as pretty much an equal chance of zero and 8 inches. Now they’re leaning toward the lower end.

Yep, just about every modeled storm this winter has trended away from us. The storm track this winter has mostly been up through the Great Lakes, which is not a snow making track for PA.This storm has been all over the map with the projections this week. The next two weeks are going to be interesting. Potential for a major winter storm as we get a lot of cold air in the first couple weeks of the month.

I don't see anything about a potential storm. Which means I'll probably be blindsided and stuck at home with no milk or bread. Nooooo!!

Only other person I know of was Guinness...@RylanTeachers were telling the kids to expect a virtual day tomorrow. Calling for 1-4 inches, maybe a glaze of ice. My money’s on they’re going.
Mrs. f had a training postponed down at RMU but people were coming in from Altoona, Erie, WV, Cumberland MD, some of those places could have a lot worse.
Who else from the board was a Fort Hill Sentinel?

Also, Donner Pass is nearing 600" of snow this winter. Their average is 411". Has to be good for the drought situation out west, need a few more winters like that.

Looking like we'll end up with about 2-4 inches here in central PA.

I moved from NC to PA that prior August. I thought that was what PA winters were every year.

30 years ago today was the blizzard of 93. I remember me, my brother and my dad just shoveling snow.
