WOW....this might be the best video I've ever seen of the conditions inside the eyewall/eye. The shot of the back edge of the eyewall approaching him towards the end of the video is terrifying.

What an idiot. You couldn't pay me enough money to risk my life like that.

Jesus. At the end was like hell on Earth

30 degree temperature span in three days? Cool cool cool

Actually I like this weather today. I wish this was the coldest it got all year and like 75 was the warmest.

something like 18 confirmed dead, 46 people missing/unaccounted for from Hurricane Michael. wondering how many of those dead were morons who decided to stay and ride out the storm. imo they should be used as an example the next time a major hurricane hits the the USA.

I can only imagine how many people decided to "ride it out" in Mexico Beach. It legit looked like it was flattened.

Finally turned my heat on last night. Thought about turning it on Saturday night but threw on a hoodie instead.

Yup. Same here. A little zip up hoodie today...

I guess I can take my AC out now too...I guess I'll do that tonight during one of the intermissions or something...

I love that coaster and as fun as it would be to meet a fellow LGPer, I'm going to hang onto that $105+.

Stop by Miller's Ale House on I-Drive and I'll buy you a pitcher!

It's summer in San Francisco, so we've been running the heat since June.

US Open at Pebble Beach next June so it should be a good jacket and gloves weather. I remember going to a Giants game on Father's Day weekend and dressing like it was a Penn State game in November.

Temps are more less the same. But there's a confluence of topographical features here that you won't have to worry about in Monterey. Basically the combination of the high ground right at the coast, the sea, and the Bay make it almost constantly gloomy and overcast here and up in the City from June to late September or early October.

Once you get to that period - like now - it's stunningly beautiful here. For nearly 30 days..... in a row!

I stayed with my buddy in San Jose for a week. I was much younger then, and I remember my shock stepping into the water at some beach near Monterey. Is there a festival pier or something in Santa Cruz? Think we did that too, as well as visit the campus of the Banana Slugs. That is a really nice spot.
