There’s a good bit of standing water around and it’s not done raining yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they close them, but who knows.

We got into the arena right before the heavy stuff started coming down. Was surprised to make it home with minimal issue considering Pine Creek floods easily.

That's probably true...Magic Mike XXL with Joe Manganiello didn't release until Jul 1st in 2015.
Come on, nobody else gave this a chuckle?

The insulation we had blown in the attic seems to be helping. Still comfortable in the house we shall see how it goes tonight and tomorrow.

No problem turning the ac on but right now windows are open and it’s really comfort.

Changed the filter in the furnace and the humidifier so it’s ready to go.

Weather/Pet thread crossover.
Was woken by a tornado siren at 11:30 last night. Quickly got the human family to the basement, turned back to get the dog and he had squeezed himself between the rubbermaids and the bottom of king size bed, refusing to come out.
So I had to break out the herculean panic strength, get down on all fours and lift the bed with my back and grab him by his tail to pull him out. I'm sure he didn't appreciate it, but I didn't appreciate having to do at home mole removal on my back to save his butt.

It's a damn good thing he's cute.

Might be a dumb question/something you already thought of, but wouldn't people in tornado alley train their dogs on the sirens to go into the basement? Or was he more scared of the lighting and the thunder?

Exactly mac! He got scared enough at me trying to get him out that he started scared peeing while I was grabbing at him too.

Thunder. Whenever there's thunder he hides. If its at night its under our bed. During the day its the guest bathroom. When we finally got downstairs he tucked himself under a TV tray table in the corner.

Power outage combined with fire whistle is a nice touch.
