Yeah, it was extremely muggy yesterday (upper 60s dew points in November are ridiculous), so I kicked on the AC solely to drive the humidity out of the house.

Nasty for sure. No damage here, but listening to the scanner there are trees and poles/lines down all over the county. One of the fire stations just broadcast that they "lost our whole roof and base radio."

Fun with numbers.

Of the next 7 days, 3 of them are 20F below the other 4. Mon, Tue, Wed.

Those 3 days are the days my new HVAC system is being installed. Highs in the low 40s and overnights below freezing.

Yay, life!

That wind today was insane. I really need to plant some wind breaks (trees? Arborvitae?) between my house and the open field.

There is a professional greenhouse across the road. About 10 empty plastic garbage cans broke loose and spread around the field. Few minutes later a particulary strong and sustained gust hit them just right. They cartwheeled at about 35mph across the rest of the field and then hurdled a fence. They ended up getting snagged in another farmers horsepen after clearing the fence.

That squall line was crazy as it pushed east. There were severe thunderstorm warnings (with a few tornado warnings sprinkled in there) from the eastern shore of Virginia to Massachusetts.

Great shot from this morning, showing the Category 5 Iota bearing down on Central America and the cyclone in eastern Canada.

Wait, wait, wait...they ran through the entire alphabet of named storms in the Atlantic this year and now are on Greek letters on lap 2...?

Yes. I think we're at 30 or 31 named storms this year? Honduras/Nicaragua are going to get pounded by this one. Not good.

Heavy squall just came through Latrobe and now it's snowing hard and sticking to the grass. Did not expect that. I still have my racing tires on the car.

High wind advisory, gusts up to 60 mph. We aren't in an area where they are forecasting a high probability of downed power lines, but you never know. We've had 0.11" of rain since May, so these conditions are ripe for moar wildfires.

It was 65 degrees and sunny here today. I was outside most of the day in short sleeves.

81 here yesterday in Hilton Head. Unbelievable weather - beach was just about as crowded as if it was June when we normally come down here. Lots of people swimming and bikinis - truly bizarre for late November.

40 degrees and rain is the worst. Supposed to get 5-8" overnight. Being remote again, I'm looking forward to getting pounded
