Euro:

Not good for the entire East Coast. Lots of beach erosion.

That's a shame.

Pittsburgh forecast looking good.

What am I looking at here, shaf? Am at least gonna get some time on the beach with the babes? I've been following all the local weather jabrones down there and they seem to think right now the North Myrtle area won't see any impacts from Dorian until late week regardless of the path it takes.

Well, that's partially true. If you are someone that likes to go in the water, you are probably gonna be looking at red flag warnings all week. I know in the OBX, you are not allowed in the water in that scenario. That track would take the center of the low right over the South Carolina coast Thursday/Friday timeframe. But by the time you get there on Monday I'm sure the ocean will be rough.

Yeah they've already got current and tide warnings for this weekend. I just don't want to be confined to my room and balcony.

Now looking like that trough that is supposed to work its way into the CONUS over the weekend will be enough to punt Dorian back to the east a bit. Very Matthew-like track. It looks like it could be a glancing blow from FL to the OBX without landfall.

Dorian track is shifting ever so slightly to the west. Landfall now forecast to be in North Carolina--not good for OBX. Bahamas are screwed.

Category 5 with sustained winds of 180 mph, gusts over 200. Dear God.

Straight up catastrophic.

Starting to get a little breezy in Palm Beach. Still a nice sunny day but you can feel a change in the air.

The town directly to the east of me, Juno Beach, has evacuated now.

The governor has issued mandatory evacuation orders for the coastal areas starting tomorrow at noon. Schools are closed in those counties Tuesday. My college has cancelled classes for Tuesday as well, but offices remain open.

Here we go again. Fifth storm in three years.

Smart man.

And I agree with dodint. Days like today in Pennsylvania are why I love living here. When the heat clears out, the front comes through, and the dew point drops into the low 50s, there is no weather that feels better.
Got out, but spent most of the day out in the sun drinking at dock bars. It was beautiful today.

Man...tense few days for the entire southeast coast. If I had my guess, I think this thing will *very* closely brush the coast, close enough to cause a good bit of damage from storm surge and whatnot. Probably make landfall somewhere around Ocracoke in NC.

This thing is moving at 1mph right now. Just sitting over the Bahamas and obliterating them. Man

Where does one get married at Pine Knoll? On the sand, right?

Oh. At the aquarium maybe? That would be awesome
