My kids’ daycare had their a/c unit crap out yesterday around 2. When I picked them up, the poor daycare workers looked exhausted.

I was able to turn my AC on at 5:30 last night, hovered around 84 before I left to go find real AC.

Got back around 11:30. It was 86 in my room. I'm not sure it dropped below 79 during the night.

This is the exact same weather I moved away from when I left the swamp in NC.

Should have waited it out and stopped at King’s Road for a beer.

I just sat outside watching a light show in three directions from thunderstorms off in the distance. I'm watching brilliant lightning to my south that looks like it is right over the hill but is actually clear down in Maryland on the Chesapeake. Awesome.

Spent the weekend at an 8U tournament. Not only was it mid-high 90s, every day the kids had to play at least a doubleheader. One team had played a triple-header yesterday. By the end of the weekend, kids were dropping like flies. Luckily the fire department was on-site with a mini-triage center. All this for 8U baseball...

I played an iron man (unintentionally, half the team didn't show up) double-header dek hockey playoffs yesterday afternoon...it was hot, but I survived...also, had a point on every single goal we scored in both games, not a big deal...

How's a guy that stands in the crease and hack away at rebounds rack up assists?

Made it through both Alice Cooper on Friday and Jimmy Eat World/Third Eye Blind on Saturday. It was realllly hot both nights, but Friday we were spared cause we were under the pavillion roof at star lake and we didn't actually go till after the first opener was done.. so the sun was starting to go down by 8ish or so. Still humid and sticky though. Saturday night at Stage AE it was mostly shaded thanks to Heinz Field blocking out the sun, and had a nice 15 or so minute downpour of rain that cooled things off nicely. It was still hot as balls, but I expected much worse both nights weather wise.

You know this weekend's air mass was horrible when the dew point is in the LOW 70s today and it actually feels almost comfortable.

This weekend was like walking into soup when you went outside. Not just broth either. Like clam chowder which is just hot ocean milk with bugs in it.

Glad to get back to broth weather.
