Are you using a filter on that photo? If I didn’t look at the cars, it looks like a 1960s era Kodachrome photo. Or is that because it’s smoky?
That's unaltered. The fire causing this haze is 170 miles from our house. I've lived through 21 wildfire seasons here, I've never seen something like this.

We were at the Stanford-OR State game today, which is 30 miles further south, and the air was still just as hazy and charcoaly.

Pretty significant storm signal for Thursday into Friday. Central PA could get hit decently.

If it's anything like a Pat Signal it won't amount to much.

Went to Flynn's Tire and had them swap on the snow tires. Usually do it myself, but I can't with the bum ankle. IIRC, I don't think I put on my snow tires last year until early December.

I do not miss that snow WK
Neighbor was in Erie this morning and said they had at least 8" up there, with a lot of cars off the road / in the median on I-90.
My FIL ended up stranded on the Ohio pike for a couple hours. He drives feeders for UPS.

Still need to get them on the Buick, but got them on the Mazda today.

:scared:

Take this map with a huge grain of salt, because I have a feeling that the mid-November warmth in the mid-levels is going to make most of this rain. That said, if the upper level low does drive enough cold air southward, it could make for a significant snow event. Places like Altoona, State College, etc have a much better chance of getting dumped on with elevation and location (vs. points east)

Snow is going to be immensely more annoying now that I only have on-street parking.

I'd really like to get the leaves off of my driveway before they freeze there. Might have to do it with a shovel because it won't stay dry long enough for them to dry out.

I've got so many leaves in the yard still. I rescind my prior statement.

Last year I got most of the leaves off, but a pile had accumulated along my retaining wall that I hadn't gotten to. When I used my snowblower the first time it coated my yard and part of my neighbors yard with dirt and leaves. Reminiscent of the wood chipper scene from Fargo.

Nah. More just "I'm annoyed that I'm going to have to dig myself out in the mornings because of the plows when it's bad" type of deal.

Had street parking for over 2 years and never had an issue. Just gun it.

Tomorrow is going to be a damn mess in PA.

Pretty serious gradient for SE PA...regardless of whether it is snow, sleet, ZR, or rain, gonna be a mess.

Central PA is going to get crushed.

I was hoping this was a "Raze to the Ground and Salt the Land" advisory.

Is this where I’m supposed to come in and say it’s 85 (great) and humid (not so great) today in the dysfunctional state of Florida. Cuz if so, here I am.

My usual caveat to take this with a big grain of salt. It is likely factoring in sleet as accumulation. That warm air is going to work in aloft and change this to rain at some point, but it is definitely going to be a mess tomorrow regardless.
