Just got done shoveling our driveway. When your driveway fits like 6 cars it's much bigger and wider than you think. I guarantee though if I go buy a snow blower we will not have any significant snow fall for the rest of this year or next at least.
I'm banking on this exact thinking when I go buy a snow blower after we move in end of the year. Money well spent if you ask me. :thumb:
Haha. I mean I have a system down pretty good. All of our neighbors around us have snow blowers. Should have taken that as a sign when I saw that. Live and learn, and got some exercise at least.

Bought one in 2015 when I moved into the new house thinking the same thing. It's a blessing.

I just saw they're calling for 4 to 6 more inches between 1pm tomorrow and Friday.

I hate the "shaming of drivers" who venture out in this stuff and over reactions of how bad roads are that is rampant on social media every time it snows a little bit.

Someone made a choice that you wouldn't make. Deal with it.

Counterpoint: there are definitely people who have no concept of how to drive in the snow and have no business being out on the roads, yet they still go out and cause havoc for those who know what they are doing.

Those people 100% should be shamed because they're making things more dangerous for everyone.

Meh, yeah, maybe they're in a situation like on their last strike at work and have to get there though.

My view is that the experience of snowy roads depends on the amount of traffic. Snow-covered roads with heavy traffic are terrible. Snow-covered roads with no traffic, on the other hand, are awesome.

Such an active weather pattern right now. Wave after wave coming out of the Plains and impacting the East.

Wouldn't be surprised if yinz saw a couple of inches today from Wave 1 and another inch or two (maybe) Thursday PM from Wave 2.

NWS Pittsburgh is pretty bullish on Wave 1 for much of the area.

I think the snow was plowed to the narrow shoulder.

I bought a snowblower 5 years ago after we had some decent snow, and did not use it once until this year. It is the way.

@dodint

Outstanding. The other thing that is annoying is when people take ONE run of ONE weather model that shows a huge blizzard ten days from now and blasts it all over social media. Dumb.

Went out to go for a run for the first time in months. Almost wiped out the first step off the porch. Went back inside

My wife went sideways down the driveway in the car this morning. I go out later to put some salt down and proceed to slide on my feet into a snow embankment. Thought for sure I was going to hit hard as I was gaining some serious speed.
