Shad's in favor of turning today's youth into a bunch of pussies. Halloween is the 31st. Your costume this year is a rain coat. If you want candy, suck it up and brave the ****.
I'd love to have it on Halloween, but what's the point of putting in all of the time and money into a costume that you can't even wear out? Speaking selfishly as a parent who walks with my kids for 2 hours, I don't want to walk in the rain and wind either. You push it back a day and now I have a free evening to watch a scary movie with my kid and still dress up tomorrow on a nice day. Pretty much like getting 2 halloweens. I'll take it.

edit: I'll add too, it's not just a light rain, I did trick or treating last year in the rain and is was fine, this is a torrential downpour with 50pmh winds.
How far into the sticks are you eddy that there are 50 mph winds

I saw from the various maps that the laurel mountains and southeast/east of city would get the worst of the wind. A little breezydowntown but nothing too bad.

Perfect Halloween weather here. The line of demarcation must be something else.

I drove back to Pittsburgh from Michigan in a constant downpour. That was probably the worst that drive has ever been.

It's still pouring here in Wilkins Twp/Churchill. It hasn't let up all day, but the last few hours have been just downpour/crazy winds.

Already lost power briefly twice here. Next time it'll probably be for a while.

Power just blew out at the peak of a scary movie. Well played Halloween storm.

It went out with an impressive bang, too.

I've had my Ambient weather station for five months--last night was the most intense wind it has ever recorded. Max gust on the gauge was 33.1 mph, but at ~8 feet off the ground, it probably wasn't picking up everything. You could tell the second the actual front hit, that was one of the most intense wind gusts I've ever experienced in a storm.

Much to my surprise my power is still out, going on 12 hours or so now. +1 for our gas fireplace.

I feel like nothing happened in my neighborhood...the weather seemed nice all night...walking around there's some leaves about, but it doesn't even look like it rained...

It's cold as a witch's teet, comparatively...but it's pea coat season, bay-bee!

I think I need a pea coat, would it be dressier than my blue oyster cult sheeps fur/denim vest?

Dodged the rain and got our trick or treating in last night. Not sure where to put Mr Goodbar in the candy bar power rankings.

It is the best candy I've ever had with nuts in it. I don't eat nuts.
