This massive storm that brought tornadoes/massive flooding to the South is churning northeastward. Pittsburgh is under a WWA for 1-3 inches of snow. Naturally, it's all fcking rain down here.

This is a pretty impressive storm. Insane when you look at just how large the precipitation shield is from one low pressure center. Tennessee to...Newfoundland?

That tornado that touched down was about 3 miles from my house. My wife’s school has been in lockdown for almost two hours
Yeah, we had a fun tornado lockdown. Lots of butt cracks showing.

We probably have a good 3-4 inches outside right now where I am east of Pittsburgh.

Roads in Murrysville and New Ken basically untouched. Got stuck on a hill getting to work because some dummy thought it'd be a good idea to stop...

The wind overnight was horrendous where I am. Pulled a downspout off the side of my house. Really surprised school wasn't delayed because of the high winds and buses.

And now it's coming down in huge clumpy snowflakes. Looks like snowballs falling from the sky out there.

We had a "tornado event" (whatever that means). A neighbor lost some trees and privacy fence.

Kindergarten was cancelled for my son, so he was all excited to play in the snow. He and his brother have been waiting all season for this. Alas, mommy is with the newborn so they have to stay inside. Feel bad for them.

It was 58 degrees here at 9:05 AM. By 9:45 it had plummeted to 46. At noon it was 39. The wind is howling.

This morning was like a tropical rainstorm in February. Raining sideways and warm, gusty breeze.

This is wild. The sheer size of this storm. The moisture plume stretches from the Yucatan Peninsula, up into Newfoundland and the rest of northeast Canada, and then across the Atlantic from there.

Is this storm heading to the UK? I have a friend over there talking about 50-60mph sustained winds along the southern coast of England.

Great writeup on the unexpected squall line that developed along the I-95 corridor yesterday. Winds were crazy...over 200 severe wind reports and several tornadoes touched down.
