The good news, the end of the heat wave appears to have been sped up to Monday evening. Looks like four days with temps in the mid to upper 90s (some spots maybe hitting 100 on Saturday), with heat indices in the mid to upper 70s. Brutal. Saturday will be the worst day of the four.

hah.

I went to a wedding in Ligonier on a farm over 4th of July weekend about 10 years ago. It was fun in a way; 150 people playing 'musical chairs' with the available shade.

They're already divorced.

I attended a beach wedding (my wife's cousin) on Folly Beach, SC...in July...formal. What kind of person has a formal wedding on a beach, at any time of the year, nevermind July. :face:

I'm having a summer wedding next year. Late June. But because we're not animals, both the ceremony and reception are indoors. And they're at the same place because traveling from the ceremony to the reception then waiting 3 hours for the bride and groom to show up is the worst.

Hah. I used to work summers at the beach in Fort Macon, NC. Lots of weddings. Many times it was wedding parties in dress blues with wives in full gowns, stumbling down the beach accesses to get out to the packed sand.

My favorite was a wedding that happened at the big platform at the end of the boardwalk. You were allowed to do it there if you didn't block the path to the beach. Right in the middle of the ceremony with everyone watching a guy stripped down fully nude at the outdoor shower on the other side of the rail.

Maximum Heat Index forecast on Saturday. Yinz will have it a bit better in Western PA.

Lake Norman? We have a lake up here that routinely hits 90F+ during July because it's so shallow. Gross.

Every single one of my windows has condensation on the outside this morning. It's like soup out there.

I made the mistake of turning my AC unit off and opening up my window before I left for work.

I may spontaneously combust when I get back at 5:30

I'm on the 3rd floor of a house with no AC. I guess I was hopeful that it would at least get the air moving since most days I come home and it's literally a stagnant mass of warm slightly humid air.

Roommate was home and able to close it so *shrug*
