Yes, but it's a dry cold.

Indeed.

Last night was pretty awesome. Negative temp, heavy snow, and high wind. My hotel room has a substantial ledge and the snow was racing past the window as it drifted. Very neat, only a fireplace would've made it better.

That’s fine. I contemplated turning my ac on last night. A cooler night is welcomed
Yes, my house was 80 last night around 7. I didn't want the dust/pollen in (yes, we already have pine pollen) in the house, so I turned the AC on for a little while before bed. Cross-ventilation doesn't really work in our house, as it's newer and not really designed for such. I guess it's cheaper than running the heat on a really cold night...

I cut some grass this afternoon.

We slept with our windows open.

**** this weather. So nice yesterday and today nearly froze getting gas in the car. Plus nearly everyone in our house keeps getting sick.

I would say we have 2-3 inches already. Beautiful winter scene outside

Nice. This is actually the first weaker slider, followed by the main storm tomorrow into Tuesday. Probably working from home Tuesday... Supposed to get 3-4" here followed by a bunch of sleet, freezing rain, before changing over to a downpour Tuesday afternoon.

Wreck on 80 near us and 4 girls from Hickory High were in it. Sounds like 2 died and 2 are in the hospital. Semi couldn't stop behind them. So sad :(

It was snowing slush when I left my house this morning. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

Picked up about 2-2.5" from the event last night...bit of an overachiever in this area. Round 2 coming this afternoon into tomorrow. Heavy rain for the Burgh.

Heavy rain, you say? That means I don't have to shovel. Nice.

Haha yeah we are supposed to get 3-4" followed by sleet/freezing rain, followed by heavy rain. I am really tempted to just stay inside on Tuesday and just let the rain wash it away. No reason to go out if I don't have to. It is supposed to be well above freezing the next few days so I'm not going to bother with it.

I'd say half a foot is a good benchmark. I'd say sometime tomorrow morning (probably late morning), you guys will transition over to the snow/sleet/ZR mess, before eventually changing to torrential rain tomorrow night.

My wife got word from a friend of hers that works as a meteorologist at accuweather. She said we're probably looking at a foot plus in their most up to date models, but they're not putting that out there just yet. We'll see.

No clue. Probably because it's wrong. They might just getting everything prepared to publish it.
