Today’s rainy day is pretty much my favorite kind of rainy day. Just steady rain, not very windy, slight chill in the air. I wouldn’t want them every day, but if it has to rain, this is what I like.

You can still see the scar that the 1985 Moshannon SP tornado (EF-4) left.

Gr8 post. There are some trails around Parker dam state park following the path of the tornado. You can definitely still see the destruction

That's wild... my extended family has a camp up near Parker dam. I remember going to see the path when I was a kid that the tornado took. It was incredible.

The story about that Boy Scout troop that got caught in the cabin at Parker Dam during the tornado is pretty crazy.

Spring used to be that on again off again rainy period that knocked out the last of the big snow piles. Now there are no snow piles and it's 80F the first week of April.
Are you happy now?

It’s about a half hour from my house. It’s a great park. We go out there all the time in the summer. They also have a really nice winterfest if the weather cooperates.

Eastern PA is getting into a pretty serious drought, so this is welcomed. Just wish it wasn't during my five day weekend

They're calling for 7 days of rain/snow here, plus not a single day above 60 until May 8. This sucks.

The SCCA region does two sports car races a year. The first one is this weekend, 'natch.

Yeah they're trying to get a makeup tee ball game in tonight. We play on turf fields, but still, the weather today is worse than it was the day the first game was canceled lol

Our tee ball doesn't start until mid June due to soccer, which the first game tonight was cancelled.

Our new AC unit is getting installed today. Just in time for frost warnings at night.

I get it, but I couldn't imagine teeball in the summer. We don't play soccer in the spring for that reason, no sense doing 2 sports at a time at 4 yo

They don't do tee ball in the summer anymore? I could've sworn we played May-July/August when I was a kid.

4-5 year old t-ball always started after the big kids' baseball was finished in late April, due to field availability. They start in May and run until early June, at night when it's cooler.

That'd maybe be ideal for us, I'm not sure. We start the same time as everyone else. There are 12 teeball teams in our league and we have 4 fields that are shared with ~14 other teams. Though all the older teams travel to other local fields.

Is it just going to drizzle every day for the rest of my lifetime? This blows. We are weeks from the solstice and we are lacking the proper vibes
