I wonder if the Chesapeake Bay warming has a similar effect over that area as the Gulf of Mexico and the plains/south

Looks like we'll be implementing our emergency plans for the bearded dragon and guinea pig tonight. Something you never think about. A dog is easy to get down in the basement with you, catching a Guinea Pig and Beardie and finding something for them to go downstairs in is a bit different.

We all know that the summer solstice is Kenny the kangaroo's favorite day of the year. But another big annual event in my life is "Phil's favorite day of the year" which has been celebrated since college amongst my friends. What is phil's favorite day of the year you ask? It's the first really hot day of the year, and back when Phil (and the rest of my my friends) were in college, Phil would always be a happy man because every female on campus would go from 3 or more layers of clothing to minimal clothing due to the warm temps.

High of 85 today. It will most definitely be Phils favorite day of the year

I'm a fan of Phil's favorite day of the year. It was a momentous occasion when I was stationed in Charleston and the sundresses came out of there three month hibernation.

Hmm, turns out I owe "Phil's favorite day of the year" for finding my wife.

Oh yes, that first day on campus when the yoga pants and Uggs turned into sundresses or short shorts.

Allergies went from 0 to 60 within the last 2 days. Happy for warmer weather. Not happy to feel like ass.

Me too. My sinuses are popping today.

Also, scratchy throat.

My car was covered in pollen when I went out after work.

Another warm week next week. Three days in the 80s.

Remember spring? That's one of the reasons I moved back to PA. If I wanted a sub-tropical climate I would've stayed in North Carolina.

Eventually you'll start to realize spring isn't all that in the burgh. If you want nice, 70 degree weather, wait for September/October.

Spring used to be that on again off again rainy period that knocked out the last of the big snow piles. Now there are no snow piles and it's 80F the first week of April.

Yeah I'd like to have a week or two of like upper 60's, low 70's to air out the house and such rather than jump to mid 80's.

My wife didn't want to put on the A/C yesterday because it was only one day...it got to like 85 in the house and I wanted to die. Then she wanted to put the A/C on later in the day after the house was already that hot...and I'm like it's just gonna run for 6 hours straight to try and bring the temp back down...which is why I said to put it on earlier in the day and keep it at a decent temp.

Somehow next week since it's 3 days or so in the 80's she's ok with the ac going on even though it's still April. Love her to death, but WTF haha.

It’ll be a cold day in hell when a woman just takes your word for it and agrees with your suggestions. She must experience it first and then be okay with your opinion on how best to proceed. This is very common knowledge.

She tried telling me she wasn't miserably hot yesterday ...I think as some sort of justification for not turning on the A/C.

I'm like...yeah ok..mhmmm. Can't admit I was right.
