Be safe. Will still be raining then. Looking like the changeover will occur between 7-9 PM, or so. I'm going to try and get out of Lancaster by 3:45, but that's the earliest it's happening. I'm bracing to be driving through some nasty stuff for at least 45 minutes or an hour (and pouring rain the whole trip, yay)@shafnutz05 I work in Bridgeville, PA until 5:30pm. Live 20 minutes away down RT.19 towards Pittsburgh. What should I expect around that time? Rain, ice, or snow??

Supposed to hit 72 here today, just days after it was below or near freezing (with snow) for almost a week.
Next Wednesday, we're supposed to get snow again...low of 17, high of 37.
Because they didn't cancel things last time, I'm hoping for a "makeup call" of an early cancellation.

Was hoping the local command would let us go early today via the telework or permissive leave policy. All the contractors are peacing out at 1pm. I'd be happy to drive home at lunch and finish my work day at home. If there is any kind of freezing happening between 3-4pm 28 will be anarchy.

looking at accuweather there doesn't seem to be a lot of predictions of ice, just snow this evening. is my interpretation correct?

60F right now, high of 18F tomorrow. I wonder if PennDOT is dumping salt into the flooded roads in the North Hills.

Yea the panic here seems to be overblown in terms of start time, every single forecast says closer to 7 for the bad freezing rain/snow changeover

Road down the hill from my house was already starting to flood this morning. I expect I'll be finding an alternate route home, while the area will inevitably look like the frozen cars in Boston by tomorrow morning.

People are leaving the office in droves right now citing that it's supposed to start raining soon. They're smart that they're fearing rain and how it could "freeze" quickly. I am staying until 3:30-4. lol.
