As a 7 year old that snow rocked. As a 37 year old that snow can stay away.

The amount of snow outside right now is perfect. Enough to cover the grass, but not enough to have to shovel or cause issues on the roads.

I remember the double whammy of 96. We got off school for the snow. Then it all melted immediately and we got off school for the flooding.

Also, the snow all stuck to the trees here. It’s gorgeous outside and the roads are clear. Perfect amount of snow.

I remember 93 and 95, don't remember a 96 event. 95 was more of an ice event and we got more days off from school for that one than we did 93.

My favorite was an event in 84/85, the one year we lived in Cleveland. Snow drifts higher than 6 feet. My brother and I built tunnels all around the house.

I'm about to go shovel. **** plow does one pass around our cul-de-sac and creates and snow fort in front of the driveway.

When I went to drop our dog off at camp the roads were fine, grass just covered. I look outside now and the roads are covered. I still don't think it's going to be enough to have to shovel, and Monroeville keeps our street clear since we live off a main road semi near a hospital so don't have to worry about that thankfully.

I remember 93,95, and that one in the late 2000's that shut north of Pittsburgh down for awhile.

I miss having that childlike wonder of being so amped to go outside and play in the snow. My son has it now, and I'm just like "nah."

2010. My wife was pregnant with my first kid at the time. That's how I remember. Went to bed thinking we'd be getting like 6 or 8 inches of snow and woke up with 2 feet because the storm stalled over the area.

Best part was, my neighbor had a huge industrial type snow blower at the time and did all of our driveways. So I didn't have to do ****.

2010 right around the Super Bowl.

I think we had an entire week off of school. Neighbor a couple houses down got his VW Beetle stuck on the small hill in front of our house. Pretty sure it got buried at least up to the windows.

Another highlight was having to shovel a small 2'x2' patch in the grass so our dog could pee somewhere other than the middle of the sidewalk lol

Apparently we only got about 15" in Altoona, but this one completely missed Western PA.

Yeah, we got a couple feet in Bedford county, and then it warmed into the upper 40's right after it fell:

My 5th birthday. My mom has pictures of us. My pap and uncle came to the house; they operated a tire shop and were open to service the plow trucks.

Friends of mine had their first child the day after the storm. An ambulance followed a snow plow to their house to take them to the hospital. Otherwise, they weren't getting there in time.

Yeah, that's crazy. Fortunately she was only 5 months pregnant, so we had plenty of time. But we always wondered that, what if someone was going into labor during a storm event like that.

My mom would've been 6 months pregnant with my little sister. Guess I never thought of that.

That's crazy.

We actually got about 0.4" of snow here this morning. Biggest accumulation in over a year.
