All good

Tif, not sure if you remember long time WTAJ weatherman Tom Casey. He passed away last summer... I was bummed to hear about it.

Never did get to go on a Casey's Cruisers excursion

Oh I remember him. He was on WTAJ back when I was in high school. I didn't realize he was still there in the late 2000s.

Speaking of crazy weather (and erosion), two more houses in Rodanthe, NC dropped into the ocean in the last couple of days. We had a pretty decent storm system pass through over the weekend and finally pushed those houses into the surf. I know they were condemned last year, and now the beach is off limits because of debris. Owners have to pay to clean it up, too. Other homeowners are trying to get nearby houses moved across Hwy 12, but that's expensive even if land is available.

I'd say there won't be much of that section of the OBX by the time my kids are my age.

K, I'm all set with winter now. Let's flip it on over to 60's and 70's please...there's no need for it to be 45 and cloudy for six weeks...you had your chance to be annoying, you chose not to be (snow-wise here)...let's move it along...

41 degrees, overcast, and windy...maybe my least favorite weather...

I'd swear you were a golfer if I didn't know better.

Mini golf enthusiast.

Being a decent real golfer is when I know I've made it though...it's a milestone, but it's in the offing...

This seems to be the pattern these days. Winter barely comes until March and then it's six weeks of misery.

And we will get at most 2-3 days of sunny days with mild temps then it will be super hot and humid for the rest of the summer.

Currently getting what will probably be the best thunderstorm we get all year. Raining sideways with nonstop lightning/thunder.

Would normally be happy but our relatives' beagles are staying with us. Because my wife is at Third Eye Blind tonight  I cringe every time the thunder sets the monitor off

There was a thunder crack here in the middle of the night that shook the whole house for a few seconds. Was incredible.

Would have been better if it wasn’t waking me up in the middle of the night, but still.

People already posting on r/Pittsburgh asking what exploded in their neighborhood, as if they hadn't heard thunder before

Yeah there was one crack that I thought brought the house down last night around 9:30-10.

It was absolutely gorgeous in the Burgh this morning. My daughter and I hung out by the point and then walked around Schenley area after stopping at Carnegie. Got back dahntahn just in time.

Was in the basement (playing Xbox) and felt the house rumble/shake slightly. Turns out a **** tree got blown over. Waiting to see if it hit any of the roof

Those were some pretty hefty gusts that just went through, in both directions to boot. Watched the wind blow hard left, then 10 seconds later blow hard right, then back to the left.

Wow! Glad it didn't hit anything.

Yeah, wind is going to be crazy this afternoon. This is a big time spring cold front.

It's 70 in Pittsburgh now, will be down in the 40s/50s after the game

Crazy **** here. Our neighborhood is covered in trash thanks to overturned cans. Unrelenting swirling wind between our house and our neighbors house kept battering our son's window (nap time got delayed) and took down some trees along the creek behind our fence line. Thankfully nothing damaged.

As an already horrible flyer, I picked a hell of a day to fly to Denver.
