Are we supposed to get a lot of snow here in Pgh this week? I keep seeing maybe like 1-3 inches, but then I read somewhere that it could be 6-10.

Very active pattern for the next several weeks. Doesn't guarantee snowstorms every time, but the odds of getting snow are going to be greatly increased for a while. And yes, it is going to be cold as sht (although not as cold as it could be).

I had no idea we were supposed to get this much snow, and I fully blame @shafnutz05 for it.

I got more than I did during the last event. The grass is completely covered and the road is gone, still not plowed.

Just checked, it's about 6.5"

Is there any way to say that without sounding sexual?

Whatever the amount of snow is that makes your kids pissed that they didn’t switch to virtual school today, even though they have been virtual 80% of the time since September is how much we got.

Yeah, mine smartly opted for the turnpike but it still took her an hour to get to Monroeville. Normally that's about a half-hour or less with no traffic.

I hate the "shaming of drivers" who venture out in this stuff and over reactions of how bad roads are that is rampant on social media every time it snows a little bit.

Someone made a choice that you wouldn't make. Deal with it.

The real tragedy is a kid will no longer know what a snow-day is.

I was considering this. As a kid I'm not sure if I'd rather have snow days or the guarantee of a full summer. My first year here was the blizzard of '93 and I think we went to school until July.

Strange, I never went to school past the first or second week of June. Snow days were a thing though. They just ate into Easter/Christmas break.

What a blizzard! As a kid I loved it. It was everything you could want. Tons of snow for playing, school out for a week. It was great.

Now...I'd gladly go the rest of life without another flake of snow.

Technology and COVID killed any remaining joy about the snow, really. No school days, no real can't make it to work days, no real have to leave early days, now it's all just WFH, or go home to turn your laptop back on.

Just got done shoveling our driveway. When your driveway fits like 6 cars it's much bigger and wider than you think. I guarantee though if I go buy a snow blower we will not have any significant snow fall for the rest of this year or next at least.

I'm banking on this exact thinking when I go buy a snow blower after we move in end of the year. Money well spent if you ask me. :thumb:
