first of all, whoever wrote that needs to use spellcheck

second of all, ill believe it when i see it. most stink bugs go in to inductive torpor when it reaches a certain temperature, usually in an attic, somewhere cozy. the temperature drop shouldn't impact it that much but we shall see. baseball bat manufacturers will enjoy the emerald ash borer volume being low. there was some significant issues with the emerald ash borer proliferation decimating lumber supply for bats.
Well said. I will say that stink bugs seem to have declined vs. 6-7 years ago. My wife's old house that she rented a room in before we got married was utterly infested. I felt awful for her, she would get a half dozen in her room every day on average, to the point where she called me crying one night because two got in her hair.

We don't get too many in our home, maybe once a week? That said, our daughter went to go the bathroom the other night and there was one on the toilet seat...she sat on it :face:

Good potential for a decent snow event mid-week. Of course, the highest totals (once again, this winter) appear to be to the south. Very good chance that Washington-Dulles beats freaking Boston for total snowfall this winter.

There was a brief but intense hailstorm yesterday at the casa de Shyster. Probably about two or three minutes of pea-sized hail.

lol I heard someone on the radio this morning say tomorrow is going to be a mess at the morning commute time. I look forward to waking up and it being sunny and cold.

Unlikely. Precipitation likely to start during the overnight hours for you guys, it is going to be a mess tomorrow. Just like most storms this winter, eventually transitioning to sleet/ZR before all rain later on Wednesday.

Even if yinz only get an inch or two before the change over to ZR/sleet, gonna be a miserable morning commute due to the timing of this:

Interesting 12Z Euro run. This is the snowfall roughly through the time the cold air collapses and the warm push takes over.

I'm guessing there is going to be a west to east axis of very heavy snow that sets up somewhere in western/central PA. Whoever gets in the middle of that band during the WAA push could end up sitting pretty. I still wouldn't anticipate anything more than 2-3" in da Burgh before sleet.

Dammit! Nothing but rain, around 40 all day. It looks like this will be the first winter in the 12 years I've in this area without any frozen precip. That makes me sad.

It hit at my mother in laws in belle vernon. Started literally seconds after I had moved a couch she was giving us out into her driveway. That was fun

Snow started really coming down around 6. Although the roads in the city were snow covered (fleet of salt trucks/snow plows my butt, Peduto) I got into work at the regular time.

More people in the office than I expected, considering some school districts canceled at the last minute.

I strive to report.

Our daughter's school sent out the Bat-text at 5 AM that they were closing. Stay at home day for everyone!

We are sitting under virga right now. Radar has shown snow for a while but it's evaporating before it hits the ground. Should arrive shortly.

Just barely started snowing here on my commute to work. Most everything is shut down for the day (PSU and daycare are both closed, so the wife and kid are at home).

Per traffic cameras, I-99 is a mess in Blair County.
