Interesting--I haven't been online since the 12Z runs came out at lunch time today, I'll check em out.My wife got word from a friend of hers that works as a meteorologist at accuweather. She said we're probably looking at a foot plus in their most up to date models, but they're not putting that out there just yet. We'll see.

There's definitely the potential for closer to a foot in north central PA. These are all 12Z runs.
GFS:
NAM. Drier than the GFS, and these snow totals don't make any sense given that State College won't change over for a while. Need to look into this run:

This is some serious ZR accumulation in Cambria, Bedford, and Somerset Counties. That is going to cause some serious havoc.

I think it was '02 or '03 when there was a big ice storm that ripped through the area. Somerset was without power for quite a while. I only remember because my dad was gone for something like 2 weeks straight trying to restore the power over there.

Snow, then rain, then 50 degrees on Thursday and Friday then back to winter for the weekend. Terrific. Another see-saw winter week.

This is your friendly reminder that dew point is a better indicator of comfort level than relative humidity

Much sunnier than I expected today, although the clouds are finally starting to move in with the approaching cold front. Temperature just hit 60 degrees here, perfection. Love when these days coincide with my WFH Fridays.

Beautiful flight home across the country. Came from SEA to PIT. Not a cloud in the sky until we hit Ohio-ish.

first of all, whoever wrote that needs to use spellcheck
second of all, ill believe it when i see it. most stink bugs go in to inductive torpor when it reaches a certain temperature, usually in an attic, somewhere cozy. the temperature drop shouldn't impact it that much but we shall see. baseball bat manufacturers will enjoy the emerald ash borer volume being low. there was some significant issues with the emerald ash borer proliferation decimating lumber supply for bats.
