I played pebble in June 2009 with a 7:00 am tee time. I consider myself to be very lucky that I was able to wear shorts and a polo w/ under armour turtleneck.

First frost advisory of the season for tonight. Supposed to get down to 34 on a cold moonlit night, followed by brilliant sunshine and getting up to around 60 tomorrow. That is absolutely perfect.

wish that was Saturdays forecast because as of right now I'll be golfing Saturday in a high of 50 and rain. Rather, I will probably be skipping golfing in 50 and rain

It shouldn't be a washout kind of day...just a few passing showers. Will certainly feel raw though.

The Northern Mariana Islands (U.S. Territory) are getting absolutely destroyed by Super Typhoon Yutu. Satellite estimates place it at 180 mph, which would essentially be a Category 6 on the Atlantic scale.

This satellite imagery is stunning. Look at the size of that eye.

I'm always amazed when I travel to another city that when it clouds up and rains for a day, the next day it goes back to being nice again. 300+ days* of cloudy weather in Pittsburgh is objectively awful.

*Not a made up stat. At least we're not Cleveland.

Wild weather night. Ten minutes ago it was very warm and raining heavily. Now it is storming and the temperature has dropped 15 degrees in ten minutes

Ended up having four tornado warned cells in SEPA last night. Crazy storms for early November. That's what happens when you get a major cold front with warm, humid air in front of it.

Anyone feel an earthquake? Around 7:50-7:55?

Friends from Jersey to Philly to Butler reporting feeling something.

There was a 3.1 in Oklahoma at that time.

There are reports of a huge house explosion in Lower Merion near Philly too. About 22 miles from me.

Sure. That could be it.

Oklahoma has hundreds of earthquakes a year now thanks to fracking so I don't consider that to be proof of anything at this time, particularly with the range expressed by the observations of that one, no one outside of 300km (185mi) have reported feeling it.

Any chance the explosion caused the effect you felt?

@shafnutz05 lots of people noting a Temperature Inversion trapping the sound low and carrying it further.

Lower Merion police superintendent Mike McGrath says the owners were staying on another part of the two acre property.

"There is a outhouse, a seperate residence, off to the side, he said. "And they were on the property, but not in the home [at the time> of the explosion.

They were renovating the main house and staying in an outbuilding/In-Law suite.
