The roads are atrocious. Drove back from dek hockey in Cranberry to the North Hills and saw a grand total of 2 salt/plow trucks. 2. And they had put exactly 0 pre-treatment on the roads.

How were you not prepared for this?

I honestly believe that they wait for a few accidents to happen before they treat the roads. Don't understand that logic but I believe it.

The city is for sure awful at snow removal/preparedness. The turnpike oddly enough stations trucks every couple miles and does a nice job typically clearing the road and salting.

Can't wait to drive in though and see the city be a mess. It's like they're suprised everytime it snows.

****, this snowstorm is bust city. Honestly, Pittsburgh and other parts of western/central PA definitely ended up getting way more than we did. Maybe an inch of snow down with the back edge moving in. LAME ASS.

Also, we just got an alert from our daughter's day care/school. "Due to anticipated snow accumulation, timing of the storm, etc, we are closed today." That there is some BS. I am looking out my front window, the back edge of the storm is near Harrisburg and rapidly moving east. We have one inch of snow, and I can see from here the street is black. It's barely sticking to hard surfaces.

That's a bush league decision, refund worthy if you ask me.

Looking at the top of our deck furniture, we got about 6-8. Somewhere in there.

Congrats...you guys definitely got the better of this. Two big problems here, not enough QPF (aka precipitation in general), and it rained for several hours before switching over to snow. **** thing sucks dot gif.

Actually the city streets weren't bad. Definitely plowed, but then we had a burst of snow around 6:30 that coated the streets again.

My bus was on time, and I had no trouble getting into work.

The back roads here are a mess, but once I got to the highway it was fine... except for the freaking ramps. The on and off ramps were completely untouched. Luckily as I was exiting the absolutely gorgeous, clean road onto a ramp with 6 inches of snow still on it, I saw it far enough ahead of time to slow down enough to not plow into it.

Same. The power/cable line running to my house is doing some work today. Kind of surprised it hasn't come down, but the snow isn't that wet.

That's good to hear. I'm driving from Clearfield to State College this afternoon. Things should be fine by then.

Oh yeah... you'll be good by this afternoon. Maybe they'll even have the ramps plowed by then.

I'm a few miles from the airport and it was really coming down about 15 minutes ago. Almost couldn't see across the parking lot at one point.

I think that might have been the last of it though.

Probably because they don't plan for the people driving at midnight. They are going to let it accumulate as much as possible before morning rush hour so they don't have to clear it twice before then

Got about 4 inches. Luckily I didn't work today. Decided to shovel the heavy wet snow without having eaten all day. Bad idea.

Uh, no. When I posted this, it was snowing. Which was about 30 minutes ago.
