Source of the post I know it wasn't a dig, but I was like If I'm old...so is he lol.
I slept weird a week ago and my neck still hurts. I'm old af. I guess I meant if you took a photo from that same angle at a Dua Lipa show, you'd see way more phones.
Fair point.

Granted it has been ages since my last one, but I have never brought a cell phone to a concert before.
Not a fan of cell phones at shows, but then again, I have documented proof of Eddie money kissing my wife because of a cell phone, so what are you going to do?

I get the hatred of phone video but it's a thing to record a song or two, post it to Instagram as a Story and hope the band shares it to their page. I see it daily on The Chicks Instagram page.

Nothing sounds worse than cell phone recorded videos at metal concerts.

I mean, the black album came out 32 years ago so imma go over mid 30s on the average age of Metallica fans. Now whether many of us who were in college or later at that time still go to shows…..

My first Metallica concert was around my 16th birthday in 1997.

March 26th, 1997 at the arena was my first Metallica show. I was 13 (wouldn't turn 14 till May 4th).

The most recent 5 shows on this page I have been to.

Wow, and my third was later that year. Would have sworn that those three weren't in one calendar year.

Forgot to mention during Fade to Black James did a PSA basically about suicide and reaching out for help and no matter what you are loved etc. The stadium basically got stone silent during that whole thing. It was pretty powerful stuff. Video below (shitty cell phone someone took. Starts at 5:20).

Metallica finally put up a pro shot video of the Pittsburgh show (2 songs at least). Lots of cool pyro ..especially around 2:45 or so. I tried picking myself out in the sea of humanity in front of James but can't do it. Looks like they are going to post Enter Sandman later today.

Why bother when you can make your own recording with your phone? Pffft.

I had assumed the massive camera they had flying around would be recording stuff. It was like the skycam on MNF basically.

Whoa, that's pretty cool. I never really got into Metallica, but that looks like a fun show.

We had club seats for Metallica at the Wells Fargo Center four or five years ago. During Moth to Flame, they had that crazy drone show come out, it was effing awesome.
