What, you also missed the false start on the WR closest to the sideline on the tying TD? You too can be a Big 10 football official. This is the pain that us PSU fans have to put up with each week.Saw the highlights. Were his adjustments having the refs blow an offsides that negated a blocked punt, miss an obvious face mask and miss an Alabama player punching Fromm in the head? Because well done nick Saban. And this is why Saban wins national titles -- his ability to make the necessary adjustments. Ends up being a brilliant move changing QBs and getting #22 some meaningful carries. Georgia coaches totally went in the tank after the long TD pass.

Can’t please the whole crowd. What gets me is people taking pride at coming into areas that they don’t like and then slamming the subject matter. Why do that? It would be like me going into the Star Wars thread and slamming the franchise. What’s the point of that? But hey, whatever makes people feel better.how do you get the 30 out of the game last night, which was tremendous entertainment

To be fair I turned it on midway through the third quarter so it was just Georgia tripping over their own dicks for 20 minutes until blowing it out of their ass two minutes into OT. So I got to see an Alabama team throwing tantrums and punches win a national title because Georgia forgot to run the ball. It really was like last years SB over again.how do you get the 30 out of the game last night, which was tremendous entertainment

I don't know about "forgot": Alabama has the best rushing D on the block.

I really didn't want to see #48 for Alabama get to celebrate a championship. I also fell asleep halfway through Q3 last night (oops)...and was shocked when I woke up. Agree on Smart....he choked in the 2nd half. There were some REALLY bad calls that went against Georgia during that stretch, but no way you can blame the refs for what happened.
Bama just finds a way to win. I don't think putting in the freshman QB took balls, necessarily...Jalen Hurts is awful and clearly didn't have it last night. But still, not a lot of coaches would have had the balls to make that decision even with how badly Hurts was playing.

home run for ESPN, second highest rated program in ESPN history after tOSU v. Oregon title game a couple years backYes just us. ESPN is only available in 5af householdsYou guys are probably the only people watching this “championship” game. No one I know is watching.
I bet it’s one of the lowest rated playoff games ever.
http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-relea ... year-year/
ESPN’s presentation of the epic College Football Playoff National Championship between Georgia and Alabama (Jan. 8 at 8 p.m.) delivered a massive 16.7 overnight on its Nielsen-rated networks (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU) as part of its MegaCast production, up 9% from last season’s thrilling College Football Playoff National Championship on the same three Nielsen-rated networks. The ESPN-only presentation delivered a monster 16.0 overnight for the Crimson Tide’s overtime victory, up 8% from the ESPN-only presentation last season, a game which featured a dramatic, last minute touchdown to win the game.
This season’s College Football Playoff National Championship, the first ever to go to overtime, was also up 5% from ESPN’s MegaCast presentation (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU) of the second CFP National Championship (January 11, 2016).
College Football Playoff National Championships Provide ESPN with its Highest-Ratings on Record
Combined with the inaugural season, the College Football Playoff National Championship now represent the two-highest rated events on record for ESPN’s networks.
Among all college football bowl games, the College Football Playoff era has provided ESPN with three of its top 5 highest-rated games and seven of the top 10.

Cool I was wrong. I guess people enjoy watching inferior products and undeserving teams.

Inferior to actually having a real playoff, at least 8 teams, and seeing who actually deserves to be there.

I think most everyone in this thread would be on board with 8 -- P5 champs, top G5 team, and two at-large -- but that doesnt mean that boycotting last night's game makes any sense to the rest of us. I watched the BCS, and I watched the "Bowl Coalition", and I watched when it was the locked in matchups, rankings be damned, in the 80s and early 90s. The game was fantastic.

Good game, two deserving teams. Committee made the right choices and produced a quality product in all three games, IIRC...unlike that time that Michigan State went and got publicly spanked in front of probably a much lesser audience...

I didn’t boycott, just didn’t want to watch the SEC championship again. And from the looks of it, only the south wanted to. Atlanta and it’s metro basically drew a third of the overall ratings.

Loved that game. ND was only there because the refs helped them beat Pitt and Manti Te'o was an overrated turd who raked up tackles 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and had a pretend girlfriend who was more visible in the NC game than he was.The year that Notre Dame got spanked by Alabama was some of the best schadenfreude I've ever had. Mmmm
**** Notre Dame and **** Matt Cullen.
